Jerusalem in My Heart – Israel Shamir

The Palestinians do know and do remember, how they were thrown out of their homes, and how the Jews moved in.

Trump is not different from his predecessors. All American Presidents declared Jerusalem – the eternal united and indivisible capital of the Jewish state. Obama did it, and so did Bush. True, they said it while running for the office, and they avoided repeating the mantra while in the White House, but they never repudiated it, either.

Ninety out of a hundred US Senators approved of Trump’s statement. Ten abstained, probably being unable to support Trump for any reason at all. Still, it was a most-approved step of the President.

Time for the GOP to rally to President Trump and the agenda that won 2016

As evidenced by the outcomes of both the Virginia gubernatorial race and the Alabama Senate special election, no matter what, Democrat voters are going to be extremely motivated in 2018 to take back Congress.

For, this is no time to panic.

Instead, it is time for Republicans to rally to President Trump and the agenda that won the election in 2016. That is, cut taxes, repeal Obamacare, appoint conservative judges, get better trade deals, slash regulations, curb illegal immigration and build the southern border wall. Also, no bad deals on DACA amnesty. The wall is not enough; chain migration has to be ended.

Canadian Public Broadcaster Refuses To Air Trans-Child Documentary After Leftist Backlash

Canadian public broadcaster CBC has rowed back on showing a BBC documentary about transgender children after claiming the film was not appropriate and citing and negative reaction from audience members.

The documentary “Transgender Kids: Who Knows Best?” which was produced by the BBC earlier this year examines the debate surrounding children who believe themselves to be transgender. The CBC announced on Tuesday that they would be showing the film on the documentary channel but were met with a number of negative comments from left-wing Twitter activists.

The Liberal government of Justin Trudeau will ban any employer from receiving summer job grants for students if the employer doesn't first sign an “attestation” that they agree with abortion and transgender "rights."

The new criteria were sent to all MPs and will be made public when the Canada Summer Jobs Program officially opens December 19, 2017.

Jerusalem’s fate – Grant F Smith

Donald Trump’s decision to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem signals Washington now deems this to be Israel’s capital.

How this is in America’s interest is difficult to fathom.

The law of unintended consequences is surely in play.

Flynn Case Highlights Deep Political Corruption of US Security Services

Both phone calls took place after the American election. Neither had anything to do with possible collusion regarding the election.

The Flynn case is also a prime example of how the American security services have been politically corrupted, but it is unlikely that Mueller will have any interest in that aspect of the case as the investigation itself has become little more than a political witch hunt in which the Washington-New York Establishment is seeking to explain why its candidate lost in November.

Rare Conversation with Jared Kushner, Saban Forum – 2017

A lot of countries in the Middle East want the same thing – economic progress, peace for their people.

Jared Kushner, U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser on Middle East peace, said Sunday that Israel needs to reach a peace deal with the Palestinians before it can form an alliance with the greater Arab world.

Spies more free to use cellphone surveillance tech without warrant, under court ruling

A federal court judge has ruled that Canada's domestic spy agency can continue to use contentious cellphone surveillance devices without a warrant, in some cases.

For several years, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) has used a device it calls a Cell Site Simulator (CSS) to collect information about cellphones and other cellular-capable devices — such as some laptops or tablets — during its national security investigations.

The devices are perhaps better known as IMSI Catchers or Stingrays, and pretend to be legitimate cellphone towers in order to collect information. Privacy advocates have long criticized the technology for how it indiscriminately gathers data, not merely on the subject of an investigation, but on all of the cellular devices in its operating radius.

LISTEN: Leftist Profs Berate Teacher For Showing Jordan Peterson Debate In Class

Two neo-Marxist professors at Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada were recorded berating a young female teaching assistant for showing her first-year communications students a debate where professor Jordan Peterson argued against the use of non-gendered pronouns.

Teaching assistant Lindsay Shepherd can be heard breaking down into tears as her supervising professor Nathan Rambukkan and another professor, Herbert Pimlott, accuse her of having created a "toxic" and "problematic" environment which constitutes violence against transgendered students.

Canada: Is Trudeau Ready for a Middle East War?

For the Saudis, the ultimate target is Shiite Iran and its significant influence in the Middle East and presence, directly or indirectly, in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. When bin Salman declared that a rocket attack on Riyadh by Yemeni rebels could be seen as an act of war by Iran, the U.S. backed him up, implicitly giving the Saudi dictator a green light for more aggressive action.

DON’T DRINK THE WATER IN OTTAWA

I've known many Canadians over the years and even visited their beautiful country, and for the most part, found them to be a very "grounded" group of people, which leads me to think that maybe the proverbial "they" are putting something - LSD? oxycontin? - into the water supply at Parliament House in Ottawa, for ever since the lamentable advent of Mr. Trudeau on the scene, Canada appears to be in a race to establish Ottawa, and not Washington D.C., as the undisputed leader for the swampiest and kookiest place on the planet. (To my Canadian friends: yea, good luck with that. We've had a lot more practice).

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau got his ass handed to him by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday at the end of an international summit in the Philippines.

Trudeau, whose popularity is imploding in his own country, chastised Duterte, who enjoys an 80% approval rating in his own country, for carrying out "extra-judicial killings" in his attempt to rid his country of it's crippling drug scourge.

Duterte was having none of it.

McCain As Metaphor – Justin Raimondo

We’re effectively bankrupt thanks to out-of-control military spending and McCain’s favored wars of choice.

The Senator from Arizona represents something relatively new on the American scene: the emerging class of colonial administrators, Pentagon contractors, and high-ranking military personnel, and their families, many of them stationed overseas. These people have a material interest in the expansion of our role as global cop, they number in the tens of thousands, and they are strategically placed in the social order, with enough social power to constitute an influential lobby.

"Explosive" Leaked Secret Israeli Cable Confirms Israeli-Saudi Coordination To Provoke War

***
The explosive classified Israeli cable reveals the following:

On Sunday, just after Lebanese PM Hariri's shocking resignation, Israel sent a cable to all of its embassies with the request that its diplomats do everything possible to ramp up diplomatic pressure against Hezbollah and Iran.
The cable urged support for Saudi Arabia's war against Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen.
The cable stressed that Iran was engaged in "regional subversion".
Israeli diplomats were urged to appeal to the "highest officials" within their host countries to attempt to expel Hezbollah from Lebanese government and politics.

Trump: Year One – Justin Raimondo

Trump is neither monster nor savior, and that is surely evident on this first anniversary of the Trump victory

As the one year anniversary of Trump’s triumph approaches, the pathetic remnants of American liberalism still haven’t recognized its meaning, or reconciled themselves to their loss of State power. They dream of impeachment, or even an outright coup: their contempt for the Great American Middle – “the deplorables!” – defines their politics, which, by now, are almost entirely negative: anti-Trump, anti-Russia, anti-bourgeois.

Trump's Best New Policy in the Mideast Would Be No New Policy

President Trump’s stance on conflict in the Middle East is a mixture of bellicose threats and demonisation of opponents combined with rather more cautious and carefully calculated action or inaction on the ground. Leaders in Baghdad, Damascus, Riyadh and Tehran face the same problem as those in Tokyo and London, uncertain where the rhetoric ends and the reality begins and unsure if Trump himself distinguishes much between the two.

The debate about Trump in the Middle East does differ from that in the rest of the world in one important respect: the need for an answer here is more urgent because of the greater likelihood of a crisis, which Trump might provoke or exacerbate.

When he was first elected, the urgency seemed very great but there has been no major new crisis that put him to the test. For all his denunciations of President Obama for his supposedly feeble defence of American interests, US strategy in Iraq and Syria has remained very much the same.>>>

Trump Asks Congress For Another $5.9 Billion For Military, Citing North Korea

In the course of his tour of the Pacific, President Trump is talking up more US deployments in the region, and is asking Congress to tack another $5.9 billion in spending to the already record military budget for 2018.

This money is going to include $4 billion for even more missile defense systems on the Korean Peninsula. These appear to be additional THAAD anti-missile systems above and beyond the ones already announced.

Another $700 million of the request is for repairs to a pair of ships, the USS John S. McCain and the USS Fitzgerald, which is the past year both crashed

Controversial Jean-Talon Starbucks Shuts Down

The Jean-Talon Market Starbucks store that thousands of people petitioned against has closed its doors.

Back in 2015, plans for a Starbucks on the corner of Casgrain and Jean-Talon aggravated Little Italy residents. A petition was launched, garnering over 9,000 signatures against the Seattle coffee giant’s planned location, calling it “a threat to the Little Italy landscape”.

Citizens behind the petition argued that the arrival of such a chain ran contrary to the mission of the large market, operated by Montreal’s public market authority (MPM).

Caught On Video: This Is All That's Left Of Sears Canada

On October 11, we reported that the now defunct Sears Canada announced plans to liquidate its remaining 150 stores instead of restructuring, the latest admission of brick and mortar defeat in the war with Amazon, with the result some 12,000 job losses in the coming weeks. The Canadian version of Sears is the latest victim of department-store decline that’s swept North America as shoppers gravitate online. While the retailer has dabbled in pop-up stores and e-commerce, its distribution centers aren’t as automated as Amazon.com Inc. or even Canadian peer Hudson’s Bay Co., which last year opened its own robotic facility to accelerate online orders.

Fake gold not ours, mint says

"Counterfeiting of Royal Canadian Mint products is extremely rare and this is an isolated case," the statement continued. "We take suspicion of counterfeit seriously and work with law enforcement to support their investigations."

Webmaster's Commentary:

The claim that this is an isolated case is nonsense. If indeed the packaging is not from the mint, then someone went to a great deal of trouble to counterfeit not only the gold wafer but the packaging. Nobody does that for just one or two fake items, but thousands.

Royal Canadian Mint-stamped gold wafer appears to be fake

The Royal Canadian Mint is investigating how a sealed, "pure gold" wafer with proper mint stampings may in fact be a fake.

The one-ounce gold piece, which was supposed to be 99.99 per cent pure, was purchased by an Ottawa jeweller on Oct. 18 at a Royal Bank of Canada branch. Yet tests of the bar show it may contain no gold at all.

Canada wants Russia to be barred from 2018 Olympics

President of the National Olympic Committee of Canada (COC) Tricia Smith urged the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to immediately impose sanctions against Russia, to temporarily suspend Russian athletes from international competitions, regardless of the outcome of two ongoing investigations of IOC commissions. According to Smith, who is a member of the IOC and the Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) in Lausanne, such a decision would help ensure the "integrity protection" of the upcoming 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. The COC recommends the introduction of immediate and significant sanctions against the Russian Olympic Committee, sports officials, and athletes. The statement was made at a meeting of the Canadian National Olympic Committee in Vancouver after Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the US of putting pressure on the IOC to prevent Russia from entering the 2018 Olympics.

Canada approves anti-Russian law sponsored by Russophobes

Canada has effected its own "Magnitsky Act," which stipulates sanctions against foreign government employees suspected of corruption and human rights violations. On October 19, the document was effected upon receiving a formal sanction from Queen Elizabeth II. Prior to that, the law was passed by the House of Commons, and on Tuesday - by the Senate. Russian Embassy to Canada said that the law, known as S-226, was an irrational law sponsored by a fugitive tax evader and people who hate Russia. Representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry earlier expressed disappointment over Canada's move to adopt an analog to the Magnitsky Act. Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, said that the bill would disrupt relations between Moscow and Ottawa. She also said that the document was aimed at imposing sanctions against Russian citizens.
