The so-called “asylum seekers” invaded the Volksfest in Baden-Wuerttemberg over the weekend, committing three sexual assaults on Friday alone and more throughout the festivities. One of the victims was a 17-year-old girl who was held down by three Afghan migrants, according to police.

The US Empire, the CIA, and the NGOs

The CIA recruited the Muslim Brotherhood to fight a proxy war against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan, which led to the withdrawal of the Soviets from the Hindu Kush. Since then, the CIA used the mercenaries to fight more proxy wars in the Balkans, Chechnya, and Azerbaijan. Due to the wars of aggression against Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen the US and its vassal states created sectarian violence that led to civil wars. Right now, the CIA and the Muslim Brotherhood are present in the form of ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

Bahraini inmates seeking medical attention punished with torture, solitary confinement

A Bahraini human rights group says detainees being held at a detention center in the tiny Persian Gulf kingdom will be punished by solitary confinement and torture in case they seek medical attention from prison authorities.

Duraz Youth Movement announced on Friday that inmates at Dry Dock Detention Center will be locked up in solitary cells and subjected to torture should they demand treatment, Arabic-language Lualua television network reported.

The movement noted that the practice has been drawn up by one of the prison’s senior figures identified as Ahmad al-Amadi.

It also expressed deep concerns over the deteriorating health conditions of Ali Majed Rabea and Hussein Mahdi Qassem, stressing that the pair faces serious health risks after continuously being denied proper medical care.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What the Al-Khalifa monarchy is doing to these political prisoners is tantamount to committing war crimes; of course, neither the US nor the UK's government will ever confront the monarchy with this, because of the tactical importance of their naval bases on this island.

4 Palestinians killed during al-Aqsa Mosque rallies

At least four people have reportedly lost their lives during clashes in the occupied Palestinian lands as tensions (#SaveAlAqsa) remain high there in the wake of the Tel Aviv regime’s crackdown on Palestinian worshipers wishing to pray at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

Palestinian medical sources and witnesses, speaking on condition of anonymity, said a Palestinian teenager, identified as 17-year-old Muhammad Mahmoud Sharaf from the predominantly Palestinian neighborhood of Silwan on the outskirts of the Old City of Jerusalem al-Quds, was fatally shot in Ras al-Amud neighborhood of East Jerusalem al-Quds on Friday afternoon, Arabic-language Ma’an news agency reported.

Witnesses said Sharaf was shot in the neck by an Israeli settler, and later succumbed to his wounds.

Webmaster's Commentary:

None of these people should have died; but the IDF uses demonstrations as the reason to "justify" more crackdowns against Palestinians, even when Palestinians are demonstrating peacefully.

And Israeli settlers assassinate young Palestinians, because they know they can get away with such actions with impunity.

I am almost willing to bet that neither of these perps will ever be caught and tried for these murders, and they know it.

Indian Police to Use Chilli Punch to Tame Hostile Crowds in Kashmir

Indian security forces will soon use capsicum gel-based tear gas shells instead of PAVA (Pelargonic Acid Vanillylamide) shells to disperse mobs in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

The new tear gas can be used either as a spray or as a shell against stone-pelters. Jammu and Kashmir has recently seen a large number of public protests and stone pelting incidents.

The new tear gas shells will be made at the Tear Smoke Unit of the Border Security Force at the Tekanpur, in the state of Madhya Pradesh, in collaboration with India’s premier defense research organisation, Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

According to the DRDO, the tear gas will be made in two forms, shell form and spray can. The chilli ingredient for these new teargas will come from north-eastern states and Andhra Pradesh.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That the Indian government is using this type of weaponry against its own people, just boggles the mind.

And particularly in the case of Kashmir, these protestors are angry because the long-promised referendum, in order for Kashmiris to decide to become independent; stay with India; or become part of Pakistan, has not been allowed to go forward.

To the Indian government; you are hailed as the most diverse, intense, and dramatic democracies on the face of this earth; please start acting like one, and hold the referendum!!

What sanctions? North Korea economy grows at fastest pace in 17 years

North Korea’s economy grew at its fastest pace in 17 years in 2016, South Korea’s central bank said on Friday, despite the isolated country facing international sanctions aimed at curbing its pursuit of nuclear weapons.

Gross domestic product (GDP) in North Korea last year rose 3.9% from the previous year when the economy contracted due to a drought and low commodity prices, the Bank of Korea said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Considering all the economic blight these US sanctions were supposed to bring, it doesn't appear that they have hurt the North Korean economy one bit.

Government Think Tanks Admit U.S. Empire Is Collapsing – Their Solution Is More War And Tyranny

The average person doesn’t realize how close the American empire is to collapsing under its own weight. Hell, the average person’s mind is thoroughly riddled with propaganda and entertainment, that they don’t even realize that their country is an empire. They think it’s normal to live under an all powerful government that has hundreds of military bases all over the world, and is constantly at war.

But there’s no doubt that this state of affairs cannot continue. In fact, even the high ranking officials in our government know that their empire is on the ropes, and challenged on all fronts by nations that are no longer willing to bow down to Washington.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would like to politely remind the authors of this report that doing something in precisely the same way, again and again, yet expecting a different outcome, is a classic definition of insanity.

The Worst Ideological Enemy Of The US Is Now Europe

The vast majority of these European courts -- whether the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) or the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) -- in their attempt to be moral and just, have dismissed the sovereign laws of Italy as irrelevant, and trampled the rights of the Italian state and ordinary Italians to approve who enters their country.
In Europe, Amnesty International and the like are, it seems, a new source of law.
Those who gave the Statue of Liberty to America in 1886 "to commemorate the perseverance of freedom and democracy in the United States" are willingly trampling their own people's liberties today through courts of appointed, unelected, unaccountable ideologues. The danger is that, with the help of many doubtless well-intentioned, international NGOs, the EU will not stop at its shores.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sad; but very essentially, quite true.

Turkey Poised To Invade Syria's Idlib Province As Inter-Jihadist Violence Rages

Two Salafi-jihadi factions in Syria's Idlib province have been engaged in a brutal inter-"rebel" (or rather inter-jihadist) war this week, prompting Turkey to prepare a potential invasion to protect its favored factions on the ground. On Thursday, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS/Al-Qaeda) continued to capture towns in Idlib's countryside from rival Ahrar al-Sham and Turkish backed FSA groups after an uneasy truce between the rebel factions quickly collapsed days prior, causing the weaker Ahrar al-Sham to call in Turkish support.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The tragedy which has been Syria the last half-decade, appears to show no signs of ending any time soon; hopefully, the Russians will hold sway here, and influence Turkey away from even the concept of this invasion.

"Everything Will Collapse" German Judge Warns As Refugees Flood System With Appeals

Hundreds of thousands of migrants who’ve appealed decisions by Germany’s immigration courts have brought the country’s legal system to the brink of collapse, a German judge warned on Friday.

More than 1.3 million migrants have arrived in Germany since the beginning of 2015. Since then, the sheer number of cases filed has overwhelmed the civil courts of the country, said Robert Seegmuller, chairman of the Association of German Administrative Law Judges, speaking to the publishing house Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland.

“The situation is dramatic for administrative courts,” Seegmuller told RND. “We are now completely stretched to our limits.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is the end result of unrestricted, unvetted immigration; clogged legal systems breaking down; crime going up; areas of various countries (like Sweden, France, and Germany) becoming no-go zones for their citizens; and the people immigrating feel no need to learn the language, or culture, or necessary business skills in order to survive.

US Urges All Nationals In North Korea To "Depart Immediately", Bans Tourists From Visiting

Dennis Rodman will be disappointed to learn that the US is set to ban all citizens from traveling to North Korea, according to two agencies that operate tours there. Koryo Tours and Young Pioneer Tours said the ban would be announced on 27 July to come into effect 30 days later, the BBC reported. "After the 30-day grace period any US national that travels to North Korea will have their passport invalidated by their government." The ban comes one month after US student Otto Warmbier died following his imprisonment by the Kim regime.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When one has no relations with an allegedly "hostile" country (which the US does not with North Korea), this move looks like a prelude to military action against it.

Although South Korean President Moon's latest request to meet Kim Jung Un has been rebuffed, the South Korean government made it very clear that they don't think it was the North Korean government's position that talks could never happen, ultimately; just that a meeting for today would have been too rushed to be of positive benefit.

New Hawaii campaign to help residents plan for North Korea attack

The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency is kicking off an educational campaign aimed at helping residents and visitors figure out what to do if the state is the target of a nuclear missile attack from North Korea.

The agency said the threat to the islands from the rogue nation is "currently assessed to be low."

But officials added ongoing North Korean missile tests —and growing public concern — have prompted officials to work on preparedness and disaster management plans.

Vern Miyagi, administrator of the emergency management agency, stressed that the public shouldn't be alarmed by the planning.

Rather, he said, the public should see the preparation and education much like the work being done to prepare the public for hurricane and tsunami, which pose a greater risk to the state.

"We need to tell the public what the state is doing," Miyagi said. “We do not want to cause any undue stress for the public; however, we have a responsibility to plan for all hazards."

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF the State of Hawaii handles a potential missile attack as "well" as it has handled the absolute fluster-cluck of its light rail program, then citizens of the State of Hawaii are truly on their own.

Get educated as to how to prepare yourself for such an event as much as possible; this means long-term storage food and water; extra medications for yourselves and your pets. Have a bugout plan, if you are separated from the family, and understand, tactically, where it will be the safest for you to ride out the attack in relative comfort.

Understand what potassium iodate is, and how to find it before such an emergency may take place.

If you have kids in school, learn what the policy is regarding the school's releasing them before the actual end of class time.

Because you absolutely, completely cannot rely on the State of Hawaii to take care of you in any meaningful way; it is too dysfunctional to be even the least bit effective in the case of such an attack by North Korea (or, potentially China).

Dramatic Increase in Israel’s Arrest of Palestinian Children, Abused, Deprived of Food, Beatings, Denied Legal Council

Some 331 Palestinian minors were arrested by Israel between January and May this year, a 62 per cent increase on figures from 2012 to 2015, NGO Defence for Children International – Palestine (DCIP) revealed yesterday.

According to a report released by the human rights group, Israeli forces regularly abuse Palestinian children, depriving them of food, subjecting them to beatings and preventing them from accessing legal counsel.

Accountability Programme Director at DCIP, Ayed Abu Eqtaish, stated:

“For over a decade, ill-treatment of Palestinian children in the Israeli military detention system has been widespread and systematic.”

From the persistent and institutionalised ill-treatment and torture of Palestinian children, to the systematic denial of their due process rights, emerges a system of control far removed from justice.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel, the "only democracy in the Middle East"?!?

Not from the standpoint of these kids and their families, it isn't!

Geopolitical Turbulence in the Caucasus

To put it very simply, after Syria the Caucasus – barely 800 miles to the northeast – is literally Russia’s second line of defense, its “soft underbelly,” to use a worn but apposite phrase. Quite understandably, Russia is in Syria, among other reasons, precisely to make sure that it would not have to fall back to the aforementioned defense line. Its geopolitical opponents, however, are doing their utmost to see to it that it does. Hence the intense turbulence and maneuvering between Baku and Tbilisi, and beyond.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A new US military base, right on Russia's border in Georgia?!? And ready for occupation and activity by the end of this year?!?

This gives me a sense of what a timeline might be for a NATO-led war with Russia; let's say, maybe 5 months out, give or take, from today?!?

The accompanying buildup of NATO'S troops right on Russia's doorstep is no accident, either.

Map showing where NATO troops are stationed right on Russia's borders

Suddenly, I am very much seeing the moves on this chessboard, potentially leading to another world war.

The Crisis of Trust in Government and Globalisation

The consequence to such an environment of suspicion is that people’s concerns over globalisation, the pace of innovation, employment prospects, immigration and eroding social values are turned into fear. And fear-factor politics has become endemic. The consequence is evidenced in the rise of political figures such as Donald Trump, the rise of extreme political parties across Europe, the collapse of establishment politics in France, the failure of the Italian referendum, Britain’s unexpected EU referendum result and then the Theresa May election debacle. All these events are inextricably linked because they were all decisions that were fundamentally driven by a lack of trust.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a natural consequence of being lied to so frequently by one's government, one simply expects that everything the government and corporate media tell you is a lie; at least, in the Unhinged, Surveilled States of America, that is the truth.

Ray McGovern’s Day in Court

Ray will be in Court Wednesday and Thursday in Syracuse to face the music. He and his Catholic Worker, Jewish mother, and other friends twice blocked the main entrance and exit to Hancock drone base to call attention to the push-of-the-computer-button cowardly killings done in our name. Those of you who, like our Quaker friends, are in the practice of holding Justice people in the Light, please do.

Here is a link to a piece Ray wrote a few years ago on the moral imperative of activism; even more necessary now.

Pasted in below are a couple of links. Ray is grateful to have fallen in with the very best people to be in trouble with, witnessing at Hancock Drone Base, Syracuse, New York

Webmaster's Commentary:

I met this man in New York when he was a featured speaker at a conference where Mike was also present to present evidence on 9/11; he is a gentleman of great moral courage, and someone I respect for his peaceful protests against things like the drone bases.

Extrajudicial assassinations have absolutely no place in American law, nor should they, although President Obama loved to order these.

What they appear to ultimately accomplish is create more radicalisation in the countries where they are used, which translates to a permanent state of warfare, which always makes the US's military industrial complex happy.

This is the most current commentary I could find on the Mc Govern trial, and it is dated just one week ago:

Current Trial: Ray and his Justice Companions for their Non-Violent, but imaginative Witness in Syracuse against US drone killings of suspected terrorists

Our Relationship with Saudi Arabia Is an Embarrassment

When he was 17, five years ago, Mujtaba al-Sweikat committed the “crime” of participating in a pro-democracy rally in Saudi Arabia.

Instead of attending Western Michigan University, as he had planned to do that fall, he was put in prison. Reports are now leaking out of Saudi Arabia that al-Sweikat will soon be beheaded for his transgression.

It’s just the latest reminder that Saudi Arabia is America’s worst best friend. The U.S. does get something out of its relationship with Saudi Arabia; there is real intelligence sharing, and the Kingdom has used its power over OPEC to drive oil prices down when we want to humiliate Russia or accomplish some other goal. That’s not nothing.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a citizen of a country colluding with Saudi Arabia in its commission of war crimes in Yemen, I am deeply troubled by the US's (and the President's) BFF relationship to the Saudi monarchy, and the Saudi government.

And I will warn you: all these images are very graphic, but as a Christian witness to the evil being visited upon Yemen by Saudi Arabia, I think it is very important for the readers of this site to understand what is being done with their tax dollars, and in their name, in Yemen.

The Saudi bombings are killing and maiming Yemeni children for life.

Images: Yemeni children killed and maimed for life.

By blockading the Yemeni ports with US military assistance, the Saudis are insuring the Yemeni children are now dying from malnutrition.

Images: Yemeni children dying from complications of malnutrition

And when you have a starved, bomb-ravaged population, is you do now in Yemen, disease is sure to follow; cholera is now well-established in Yemen, and the diagnosed cases are right around 300,00 as I type this.

Cholera cases in Yemen pass the 300,000 mark, and climbing.

Saudi Arabia's Prince Salman did pledge 66 million dollars to deal with the cholera epidemic, to appear "humanitarian", even as his government slaughters Yemen's people with bombs and bullets.

Saudis, at War in Yemen, Give Country $66.7 Million in Cholera Relief

But did he actually give it to an aid organisation which actually understand how to get the job done, like the Red Crescent, or Doctors Without Borders?!?

With an intense cynicism that almost boggles the mind, Prince Salman donated this money to the UN, which is dysfunctional, dystopic, and disorganised beyond belief. He clearly understood that by the time that aid ever reached its target, the relief effort would be way too little, and way too late.

Oh, and did I mention that the Saudis are using DU weapons in Yemen?!?

Images: Saudis using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen

And of course, these weapons are having the absolutely same effect on the people and children in Yemen as they did in Falluja Iraq; massive spikes in cancers, birth defects, and still births are being experienced now by the Yemeni people.

Images, courtesy of Ruptly, of infants with severe birth defects, due to Saudi use of depleted uranium in Yemen.

It is profoundly disturbing for me to understand just how completely morally comfortable our government, the Saudi government, and our and their military are with this genocide in Yemen.

As both a Christian and an American citizen, I very logically must ask about the moral cost of this relationship between the US and Saudi Arabia, and the dark, bitter fruit it may well bear in the future, where the US government may use Saudi Arabia as a proxy antagonist to Iran, in a potential war against that country.

Is Iran in Our Gun Sights Now?

In 2007, all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies declared with high confidence Iran had no nuclear weapons program. They stated this again in 2011. Under the nuclear deal, Iran exported almost all of its uranium, stopped enriching to 20 percent, shut down thousands of centrifuges, poured concrete into the core of its heavy water reactor, and allows U.N. inspectors to crawl all over every facility.

Is Iran, despite all this, operating a secret nuclear weapons program? Or is this War Party propaganda meant to drag us into another Mideast war?

To ascertain the truth, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee should call the heads of the CIA and DIA, and the Director of National Intelligence, to testify in open session.

We are told we are menaced also by a Shiite Crescent rising and stretching from Beirut to Damascus, Baghdad and Tehran.

And who created this Shiite Crescent?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, just because the creation of yet another war in the Middle East would be the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing the Unhinged Surveilled States of America could do right now, is absolutely no guarantee that it won't haul off, and do it.

Logic, rationality, and being able to think something through to its logical conclusion, are no longer requisite skills for those creating foreign policy in DC; what we seem to have happening here is a combination of "magical thinking, coupled with the used of a dart board, in the creation of US foreign policy.

Israeli General: We Won’t Let Iran Win the Syrian War - Ceasefire Sees Israel Escalating Threats Against Iran

Israel has made no secret of not liking the southern Syria ceasefire, negotiated between the US and Russia, complaining in particular that it doesn’t keep the Syrian government, and its Iranian allies, totally barred from that part of the country, which they see as tantamount to letting Iran be too close to the Israeli border.

Israeli Maj. Gen. Yaakov Amidror is the latest to step up the ever-growing series of threats against Iran over the matter, attending a briefing with foreign correspondents today and warning that if the US and Russia don’t resolve Israel’s complaints, the Israeli military will “intervene and destroy every attempt to build infrastructure in Syria.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israeli Maj. Gen. Yaakov Amidror, a word please; have you gone absolutely barking dog mad, to have made that statement?!?

First, are you really so smug and secure that you would go head to head, militarily, in a foreign country, up against the Russians, who will simply not allow this madness?!?

And did you NOT get the memo that China is going to have a significant role to play in the rebuilding of Syria's infrastructure?!?

Why China wants in on Syria's Reconstruction

Is Israel really ready... to go to war against China, Russia, and Iran, to prevent infrastructure from getting rebuilt in Syria?!?

I sense, sir, that you have really not thought this through to its logical conclusion.

Fighting Words: Pyongyang Blasts Seoul’s ‘Nonsense’ Invitation to Talks

Just three days after South Korea proposed holding inter-Korean military talks with its northern neighbor, Pyongyang’s most notable publication slammed the efforts as "nonsense."

According to the Rodong Sinmun, if Seoul wants to have any chance at keeping the peace, it needs to fully abandon its confrontational policies and say goodbye to its decades-long dependence on the United States.
"Ditching confrontation and hostility is a precondition for opening the door for the two Koreas’ reconciliation and unity," stated the Hermit Kingdom’s top newspaper.

Talks were proposed after recently elected South Korean President Moon Jae-in announced in Berlin that he wanted to hit the reset button and bring about a calmer relationship between the divided Koreas.

"We do not wish for the collapse of North Korea," Moon told reporters at the G20 Summit. "We will not pursue any form of unification by absorbing the other. We will not pursue a unification by force."

Webmaster's Commentary:

I seriously doubt that North Korea is going to change its stance, until it actually has a workable, steerable nuclear weapon as a deterrent against "regime change" against their country.

At that point (if the US government and military actually allow its program to continue toward a successful conclusion), it may be ready for talks, but most probably not until then.

US ‘global strike’ concept a direct threat, nuclear arms are good deterrent – Russian naval doctrine

The quest for global domination in the world’s oceans, as well as the global strike concept of the US and its allies, puts international stability at risk and poses a direct military threat to Russia, the country’s new naval doctrine states.
Moscow’s demonstration that it is prepared to use force, including non-strategic nuclear weaponry, is an efficient way to deter this threat, the document says.

One of the main challenges faced by Russia is the “strive of a number of states, mainly the US and its allies, for domination in the World Ocean, including the Arctic region, as well as for establishing overwhelming superiority of their naval forces,” according to “the state policy of the Russian Federation in the field of naval activities for the period up to 2030,” as ratified by a Decree of the President of Russia on Thursday.

Will the Federal Government Make It Illegal to Protest Israel?

A growing number of Republicans and Democrats in Congress are backing a bill that would criminalize support for the international boycott against Israel, also known as the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement.

Named the Israel Anti-Boycott Act, the bill so far has garnered support from 29 Republicans and 14 Democrats in the Senate. A similar piece of legislation introduced in the House of Representatives has 237 co-sponsors—63 Democrats and 174 Republicans. With the intent to suppress the BDS movement and others allied with the boycott against Israel, the Israel Anti-Boycott Act imposes harsh punishments: any person guilty of violating the law faces a “minimum civil penalty of $250,000 and a maximum criminal penalty of $1 million and 20 years in prison."

Webmaster's Commentary:

When telling the truth about Israel's treatment of the Palestinians, and why the BDS movement is critical to stopping that behaviour, because it is the only language the Israeli government understands, because it is economic in nature, the Unhinged Surveilled States of America will have truly fallen off its very own 1984 cliff.

Should this draconian law be passed, I will not mention this movement; but I will, however, take great pains to logically and peacefully continue to document the horrors the Palestinian people continually suffer at the hands of their Israeli occupiers.

IDAHO EMBRACES NEOFEUDALISM WITH ITS “NONCOMPETE” LEGISLATION

Many of you may not be familiar with what I’m talking about, so I’ll start with some excerpts from a very good New York Times article on the subject, and then get into some detailed commentary at the end.

Here’s a brief overview of the situation from the piece, Noncompete Pacts, Under Siege, Find Haven in Idaho:

BOISE, Idaho — Idaho achieved a notable distinction last year: It became one of the hardest places in America for someone to quit a job for a better one.

The state did this by making it easier for companies to enforce noncompete agreements, which prevent employees from leaving their company for a competitor.

“We’re trying to build the tech ecosystem in Boise,” said George Mulhern, chief executive of Cradlepoint, a company here that makes routers and other networking equipment. “And anything that would make somebody not want to move here or start a company here is going to slow down our progress.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is a word with which to characterise this legislation, from a standpoint of worker's rights; that word is, "insane".

Were this to go all the way to the Supreme Court, my guess would be that the Court would rule against it.

TOP EUROPEAN COURT TO CONSIDER IF EU COUNTRIES CAN CENSOR THE GLOBAL INTERNET

Last month we wrote about the tragic and hugely problematic ruling in Canada that said a Canadian court could order global censorship of content it deems to be illegal. As lots of people pointed out, that is going to have dangerous consequences for speech around the world. If you accept that Canada can censor the global internet, what's to stop China, Iran or Russia from claiming the same rights?

Webmaster's Commentary:

The independent media, of which WRH is a part, will not be stilled; will not be censored; will not be shut up.

There will be a way to bring people the truth, and it will be the independent media who which will get us there, some how, some way.

DOCUMENTATION OF US DEPT OF DEFENSE ADMITTING ‘LOSING’ $6.5 TRILLION ($65,000 PER AVERAGE US FAMILY), WITH 18 YEAR HISTORY OF ‘LOSING’ TRILLIONS

Catherine Austin Fitts just published documentation of Department of Defense (DOD) official audit reports from 1998 that acknowledge “losing track” of $6.5 trillion, along with Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) admission of “losing” over $100 billion. This is euphemistically termed “unaccounted,” and literally means that DOD agrees they received these funds, agrees the funds are gone, and then claims to not have records of where the money went.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Absoflippinglutely unbelievable, but perfectly predictable from the American government.

The Foolishness of Regime-Change Fantasies

The United States has tried its hand a lot at regime change. By one count, the US tried to overthrow 72 different governments during the Cold War alone - and that's before the most recent misadventures in Iraq and Libya. It's not exactly a track record of success: the United States failed most of the time to accomplish the fundamental goal of toppling the target. And a quick glance at Iraq is enough to remind you that even when America "succeeds," it often really fails. Despite this track record, the Wall Street Journal opinion pages called for US-led regime change in North Korea and Iran on the same day. That's the same Wall Street Journal that championed the Iraq War over and over again ...

Chinese Army Mobilizes Military Assets to Tibet Following Live Fire Drills

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) mobilized thousands of ground vehicles and other military equipment as the standoff between Chinese and Indian troops near the disputed area of Sikkim continues, according to a report from the PLA Daily.
PLA Daily is widely considered the main outlet the Chinese army uses for external communications, LiveMint notes.

The report did not specify the exact date the military assets were relocated to Tibet but said it occurred at the end of June. The unspecified military "hardware" was transported via rail and conventional roads.

It’s not entirely clear where in Tibet the chess pieces have been placed. The report also failed to indicate whether the military equipment would be used in tandem with a Chinese battalion that recently completed drills in Tibet, China’s second-largest province.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This could get very dicey very quickly.

And the fact that the US and Indian governments enhanced their military ties last year India and U.S. deepen defense ties with landmark agreementcould translate as a possible US military intervention, on the side of India, against China in this skirmish over Sikkim.

INTEL REPORTS REVEAL AT LEAST 40,000 CIVILIANS KILLED IN MOSUL IN JUST 9 MONTHS

According to Hoshyar Zebari, who until recently was a senior minister in Baghdad, many bodies “are still buried under the rubble.”

“Kurdish intelligence believes that over 40,000 civilians have been killed as a result of massive firepower used against them, especially by the federal police, air strikes and Isis itself,” Mr. Zebari added.

The monitoring group Airwars recently estimated that at least 4,000 civilians were still buried under the rubble in Mosul, but we will likely never know the exact number. Up until a month ago, the U.S. only had two personnel investigating casualties in Iraq and Syria full time.

Zebari also emphasized that the “unrelenting artillery bombardment by units of the Iraqi federal police, in practice a heavily armed military unit, had caused immense destruction and loss of life in west Mosul,” according to the Independent.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have a sneaking suspicion that by the time all the deaths are truly tallied in Mosul, this 40,000 figure may well be expanded by double the number reported here.

Glioblastoma can cause personality changes including aggression, loss of social restraints, confusion, forgetfulness and mood swings.

‘We the People’ Are the Walking Dead of the American Police State (Video)

In the following article, John Whitehead of The Rutherford Institute hypothesizes that the reason Americans like AMC’s “apocalyptic drama “The Walking Dead” so much, is because it lets Americans face the end of the world once a week, only they get to live.” Slowly, Whitehead advises the reader that all is not as it seems in America.

Whitehead explains how anyone who has been paying attention knows that it will not take much for the government—i.e., the military—to lock down the nation in the event of a national disaster, perhaps less. The fact that the government has been relentlessly monitoring our communications, tracking our movements, criminalizing our every action, treating us like suspects, and stripping us of our means of defense, has not been for our protection at all, but rather its been more of an ambush, and it is being carried out in plain sight.

Senate Committee Approves Medical Marijuana for Veterans

The leading lawmaking brass of the United States government is making a push to ensure that doctors employed with the Department of Veterans Affairs can finally write medical marijuana recommendations for those patients living in states with dispensary programs.

The rider, which was introduced by Senators Steve Daines of Montana and Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon, would “prohibit the use of funds appropriated or other-wise made available under this Act to interfere with the ability of veterans to participate in medicinal marijuana programs approved by States or deny services to such veterans.”

The Cannabis Industry Apocalypse

Here is the plan.Sessions plans to seize the assets of the big Cannabis companies and use it to bust more people.

Another important clue to their plans comes from a recent DOJ announcement that the DOJ will no longer be donating part of the proceeds that it receives from civil asset forfeitures to a variety of non-profit groups but will instead be keeping all the proceeds for itself to be used for increased staffing and greater enforcement.

In order to address the lack of budget necessary to start large scale enforcement, the Christie Plan lays out the following actions:

Issue Subpoenas to the twenty-nine states that have legalized cannabis, in any form, and demand their entire set of licensing records, for growers, dispensers, doctors, and users.
Use conventional DOJ budgets to hire new DOJ staff to fight the states that refuse to turn over their licensing records. The DOJ will sue each state, in order or revenue, for compliance.

CHILDREN AMONG CIVILIAN DEAD IN LATEST US-BACKED SAUDI COALITION AIRSTRIKE IN YEMEN

The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) on Wednesday reported that an airstrike carried out by the U.S.-backed Saudi-led coalition in Yemen killed 20 civilians—including women and children—who were fleeing violence in their home province.

"The people of Yemen are being subjected to deprivation, disease, and death as the world watches."
—Stephen O'Brien, United Nations

"The incident was reported on Tuesday afternoon and the number of civilian casualties are still being verified with initial reports pointing to at least 20 deaths," the agency said in statement. "Most of those killed are believed to be from the same family. Injuries have also been reported with a number also taken to nearby hospitals for treatment."

Webmaster's Commentary:

These are all war crimes, which which, apparently, the US and Saudi civilian and military leadership are quite morally comfortable.

I am profoundly alarmed to be a citizen of a country colluding in Saudi Arabia's horrific war crimes in Yemen; if Mike and I had the opportunity to become citizens of a civilised country which just doesn't do this, I would be delighted.
