Russian Collusion: Hillary Clinton Invited Vladimir Putin To “Pay For Play” Event -Mac Slavo

In newly released emails which the mainstream media is willfully ignoring, Hillary Clinton invited Russian president Vladimir Putin to a Clinton Foundation event. The Russian collusion between Hillary Clinton is becoming very apparent.

Hillary Clinton likes to talk a tough game about Russian President Vladimir Putin. And she likes to put him on the list of those at fault for her loss in the election last November to Donald Trump. But that didn’t stop her from inviting him and other top Russian officials to a Clinton Foundation gala right after she became Secretary of State.

Clinton Foundation director of foreign policy Amitabh Desai sent dozens of invitations to world leaders including then-Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, and Former President of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev, emails recently obtained by Judicial Watch revealed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These are the facts, regarding Hillary and Russia, the corporate presstitutes will never let you see.

Putin Orders End To US Dollar Trade At Russian Seaports

Whether in response to rising scorching tensions with the US, or simply to provide support for the ruble, on Tuesday Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to approve legislation making the ruble the main currency of exchange at all Russian seaports by next year, RT reported citing the Kremlin website.

The head of Russian antitrust watchdog FAS Igor Artemyev, many services in Russian seaports are still priced in US dollars, even though such ports are state-owned. So, in order to "protect the interests" of dockworkers and their complyees with foreign currency obligations, the government was instructed to set a transition period before switching to ruble settlements.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I sincerely dislike the ways in which currency wars have a nasty tendency to morph into shooting wars.

Syrian army sends more troops across Euphrates, near U.S.-backed forces

Syrian troops crossed to the eastern side of the Euphrates in Deir al-Zor on Monday, state media and a monitoring group said, increasing their presence in an area where U.S.-backed militias have also advanced.

The rival forces are conducting offensives against Islamic State and have generally stayed out of each other’s way, with the river often acting as a dividing line.

However, incidents this year have raised tension between the government side, backed by Russia, and the U.S.-backed forces.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unless there are some high level back channel negotiations between US and Russian diplomats, this could get very ugly very quickly

Netanyahu Is Meeting Trump To Push For War With Iran

Today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with Donald Trump at the White House and push the U.S. to withdraw from the nuclear accord with Iran. Netanyahu will present an argument that Trump already has come to accept: America’s adherence to the nuclear deal cannot solely depend on Iran’s compliance with the agreement, but also whether Iran’s other policies challenge US national interests. It’s a more honest argument compared to the slogans Netanyahu has used in the past. But it is also a line that fundamentally contradicts Netanyahu’s central message of the past decades: That Iran’s nuclear program constitutes an existential threat to Israel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word, please on this issue; should you go back on this P5+1 agreement, you will telegraph to the world that the US is incapable of keeping its treaties and promises, and will walk away from them whenever said treaties are "inconvenient" to US hegemony.

And just which of Iran's policies in the region are an anathema to US national security interests?!?

Can you possibly, please, explain what you mean by this, because if you are taking the American people to war against Iran, the American people have the absolute right to understand why.

OK, Iran is developing better ballistic missiles: but these were never a part of the P5+1 agreement in the first place; and with Israel and the US breathing down Iran's neck, threatening war at least every other Tuedsay, can you blame them for wanting some decent defense capabilities?

No thinking, reasonable person possibly could.

Listen, we know your BFFs in the Middle East are cheerleading you on starting a war against Iran. Both Prince Salman and Prime Minister Netanyahu have been uofficial "president whisperers" in this regard.

But this could turn out to be an absolute nightmare for the OSUSSA (the curent state of this nation, which can most honestly be described as the Occupied Unhinged Surveilled States of Amerika.) And here is why.

Russian political and military figures have stated, publicly, that should Iran be attacked, they will come to its aid militarily.

Have McMaster, Kelly, and Mattis told you this?!? Because, Mr. President, it is bloody well time someone did.

Mr. President, we don't have the money, the troop stregth, the manufacturing, or the weaponry to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war against Russia in Iran; it is just that simple.

And what, precisely, will Prince Salman and Netanyahu give you to win this war?!? How many troops, and how much military equipment have they committed?!? My deep concern here, Mr. President, is that they will expect the US military to do most of the heavy lifting, but will expect the costs in blood and money, to be borne primarily by this country.

To all the Alphabet Soup agencies reading this site: I care about my country very deeply; and until it becomes illegal to do so, I will comment on the ways in which I believe it is moving in the wrong direction.

As you understand, I am a Christian pacifist activist, who never advocates, or condones violence, which means that I am constantly exorting this government to resolve its geopolitical differences with other countries in ways other than through wars.

A war with Iran may be believed to be in the best interests of both the Saudi Arabian and Israeli leadership; but with all the domestic and financial problems facing this country, a war against Iran, which may well translate into a war with Russia, is absoflippinglutely NOT in the interests of this country's people at all.

To the Iranian bloggers who read this site (I don't know if there is a mirror in Farsi, but understand there may be): thinking Americans who understand your history, and particularly your 20th century history), do not want to see war against Iran. Unlike Israel, you have a Constitution; are a signatory to the NNPT (which Israel is not); and your religious minorities are protected under your Constitution.

In sum total, Mr. President, a war with Iran is an horrifically bad idea, no matter how much Prince Salman and Prime Minister Netanyahu have been rooting for the OUSSA to do this.

BEX? Is North Korea Building Their First Nuclear Submarine?

Japanese newspaper Sekai Nippo claims that the "informed" source "familiar with the North Korea situation" told them that the DPRK has been clandestinely building the nuclear submarine, which would be a massive leap forward from the current DPRK Navy, which may maintain a fleet of 50 to 60 diesel-electric submarines.

The source went on to claim that Chinese and Russian engineers have been lending their expertise to the DPRK at North Korea's Nampo Naval Shipyard, in North Korea's manufacturing capital.

US-Kiev rejection of Russian initiative proves more war in store for Donbass —

Ukraine’s and the United States’ refusal to work on the text of Russia’s draft resolution on deploying a UN contingent in Donbass to ensure security of the OSCE mission reveals their real plans to realize a kind of the Croatian scenario, Denis Pushilin, the chief negotiator for the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic at the pace talks in Minsk, said on Monday.

"Ukraine’s and the United States’ refusal to work on the text of the Russia-initiated draft resolution on a UN mission in Donbass reveals the real motives of the Western partners. Such actions openly show what [Ukrainian President] Pyotr Poroshenko and his American friends really want," the Donetsk News Agency quoted him as saying.

Webmaster's Commentary:

At this moment in its history, the government of the Occupied, Unhinged Surveilled States of Amerika, appears to be pathologically incabable of resolving its geopolitical differences in any way other than war.

The country I thought I knew, as a kid growing up, seemed to be much more intellectually, and morally capable of getting its way through hard-won, intelligent negotiations; but perhaps I was just fooling myself in that assessment, even back then.

Removing Offensive Monuments

The eyesore presidential libraries

The social justice warrior charge to purge the United States of all monuments relating in any way to the Confederacy has been rapidly expanding to include the scourge represented by all white people all through history.

Now, I would suggest that turnabout is fair play so if we are all agreeing that monuments must be destroyed to right historic wrongs, I am interested in making up my own little list based on the things that I disapprove of. As readers of this site are aware, I am a critic of illegal behavior by the United States government, to include torture, targeted assassinations by drone and starting wars without any reason to do so, so that would be a good place to start.

Will The US Bomb? First Images Of Syrian Army Crossing The Euphrates River In Deir Ezzor

The airspace over Deir Ezzor is now growing exponentially more dangerous as there are substantial rumors that the US coalition has declared a no fly zone (NFZ) over the north side of the Euphrates. In the meantime, Syrian and Russian air operations in the area will only increase with Deir Ezzor military airport's returning to full service.

The Syrian Army was capable today of crossing the Euphrates River after fully recapturing Sakr Island located to the north of Deir Ezzor Airbase.

Heavy Russian and Syrian airstrikes have pushed ISIS militants away from the eastern bank, paving the way for the government troops to set foot in the eastern bank for the first time in years.

With crossing the river, the government forces are inching closer to re-take the remaining territories under ISIS control. However, this will also put the Syrian forces face to face with the US-backed Kurdish forces; which launched its own offensive against the Islamic State in Deir Ezzor.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF, in fact, these reports are true, things could get nasty between Russia and the US military very quickly.

Turkey Masses Troops, Armored Vehicles Along Syrian Border

In a move rebel officials say is part of the de-escalation deal reached at Astana peace talks, Turkey has begun massing troops and armored vehicles along the Syrian border. The deployments include multiple different convoys heading to different border crossings.

The vehicles were mostly armored personnel carriers, but also included some tanks. Turkey, Russia, and Iran have agreed to set up new de-escalation zones for the next six months to try to facilitate more peace talks.

Turkey is expected to control parts of the Idlib Province under this deal, which stands to be a very complicated process, both because of the large number of rival Islamist rebels packed therein, and especially because the Nusra Front says they don’t intend to de-escalate.

"There will be consensus and people will understand that Russia is not a neighbor who has a different point of view, but an enemy. And you need to resist it. Israel’s Foreign Agents Don’t Register, Why Should Russia’s?

Although RTs viewership in the United States is minuscule compared to major domestic broadcast and cable news outlets, over the years RT has made many enemies in Washington. The network’s slogan, "Question More," and financial resources allowed it to televise stories that US networks, under the perpetual threat of loss of "access" to newsmakers, boycotts and organized pressure campaigns, cannot. Nowhere was this more evident than RT’s relentless coverage of Israel and its US lobby. RT covered Benjamin Netanyahu’s connection to the Arnon Milchan nuclear trigger smuggling ring, the diversion of weapons grade uranium from a toxic plant in Pennsylvania to Israel, and details of a massive Israeli-lobby orchestrated propaganda campaign in the United States. A FARA order could mean RT’s departure from the American scene.

Russia Rejects Israeli Request of 70 km Buffer over Iran Militias Presence

Russia has rejected a request made by Israel to create a large buffer zone on the border of the Golan Heights in an attempt to keep Iranian forces and their militias around 70 kilometers away from Israeli territories, political sources in Tel Aviv have said.

Israel had asked Russia and the US not to have a presence of Iranian forces or their militias to the west of the road connecting Damascus and the city of Al-Suwayda in southwest Syria.

The Russians only promised that the Iranians and their allies would not come any closer to Israel than five kilometers from the armistice lines between those of Bashar Assad’s regime and the rebels, the sources said.

Israel’s Foreign Agents Don’t Register, Why Should Russia’s? Can Russia Use Israel Lobby Tactics To Skirt FARA Order?

The Department of Justice has ordered Russia’s U.S.-based RT news network to begin registering as Russian foreign agents under the 1938 Foreign Agents Registration Act. The law requires US-based agents of foreign principals to disclose financial information and activities in regular public filings overseen by a designated DOJ office. Over the years FARA has been amended to exclude bona fide news organizations. The Department of Justice order breaks a long period of unfettered access to the U.S. by foreign press agencies, many directly and indirectly financed by foreign governments.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I personally have a great respect for the veracity of rt.com, and - as readers of this blog know - link to it frequently, because you do get information you just don't get from the US corporate presstitutes, and whorespondents.

 Sanction America, Not North Korea

Ideally, sanctions should be abolished, prohibited for any reasons.

They’re counterproductive, achieving pain and suffering alone for ordinary people in targeted countries, nothing else.

As long as they’re permitted, legally by Security Council members alone, illegal unilaterally, sanction America for its high crimes of war and against humanity, not North Korea, threatening no other countries - even though a US veto would block adoption.

A symbolic 14 - 1 statement would send a powerful message, especially if enough world community nations no longer are willing to put up with endless US wars on humanity.

The leadership of any country threatened by Washington would be foolhardy not to seek powerful weapons and munitions for self-defense.

Abandonment of powerful weapons programs by Iraq and Libya led to their rape and destruction by US-led aggression - a lesson well understood in Pyongyang.

Why Russia Won't Help More on North Korea

Moscow’s assistance to Pyongyang has emerged not out of a desire to promote its nuclear program, but because Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, sees Kim very much like he see his own country: victims of a U.S.-led international system that tramples on their choices and sovereignty. Russia is itself under international sanctions intended to punish Moscow for its military actions in Ukraine. For Russia, sanctions that successfully force North Korea either to alter its military choices or lead to a change in its leadership would set a dangerous precedent—the possibility of regime change anywhere is never to be encouraged.

Justice Dept Orders Russia’s RT to Register as a ‘Foreign Agent’

The latest in a series of moves which seems destined to worsen US-Russian relations, the Justice Department has ordered Russia’s RT television news network to register itself as a “foreign agent,” forcing it to make broad disclosures on contacts within the United States.

This registration is an idea that had long been pushed by Congressional Democrats who accuse RT of being a “propaganda” network. The Foreign Agent Registration Act was meant to target foreign lobbyists and politicians.

It’s virtually unheard of to force a journalistic outlet to register, and the move was quickly condemned by RT as “overreaching.” That the Justice Department made such a move at all is a surprise, and indicative of continued hostility toward Russia.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, let me get my head around this: RT, a very fact-centered, generally logical blog, to which I link frequently, is demanded to register as a foreign agent, YET AIPAC'S SERIAL NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THIS LAW IS "NO BIG DEAL"?!?!?

AIPAC is still our biggest foreign agent

The Pentagon's $2.2 Billion Soviet Arms Pipeline Flooding Syria

he defeat of Islamic State in Syria is reliant on a questionable supply-line, funnelling unprecedented quantities of weapons and ammunition from Eastern Europe to some 30,000 anti-ISIS rebel fighters.

Armed with AK-47s and rocket-propelled grenades fresh from state-owned production lines and stockpiles of the Balkans, Central Europe and increasingly the former Soviet Union, these US-backed troops are spearheading the battle to reclaim Raqqa, the capital of the so-called caliphate, and liberate other areas of Syria held by ISIS.

But the flow of weapons to these Pentagon-backed militia depends on misleading official paperwork, an investigation by the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network, BIRN, and the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, OCCRP, has uncovered.

The operation has been criticised by arms transfer experts and even worried officials in Berlin, who have seen large quantities of weapons passing through US military bases in Germany on the way to Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The "good reason" is the alleged fight against ISIS in Syria; however, the "real reason" for drowning these jihadists in Soviet-era weapons is, again, still, the American goal of regime change in Damascus.

I am having a Picard double-face-palm, at warp speed, upon reading this!!

It is just a matter of time before US and Russian forces tangle in Syria; and that outcome could get very nasty, and very quickly.

Facts vs hysteria: What you need to know about Zapad 2017 drills

The Zapad 2017 international strategic military exercises take place from September 14-20 in Belarus and three regions in the western part of Russia. The drills are held by Russia and Belarus every few years (the most recent drills were held in 2009 and 2013), with their timing announced months ahead. However, this year the maneuvers have become the subject of media hype and huge scrutiny by NATO amid further Russia scaremongering.

The raging gas inferno that could only be extinguished with a NUCLEAR BOMB: Footage shows how Soviet Union detonated nuke to put out blaze that had burned for three years

Historic footage shows the moment a nuclear bomb is detonated thousands of feet below the surface in order to extinguish a fire in a natural gas field in the former Soviet Union.

The video from 1966 shows the huge flame burning bright in the middle of the field, as workers at the Urta-Bulak gas well in Uzbekistan try to douse the flames with water to no avail.

The area is then cleared and a large nuclear bomb is deposited underground and detonated to cut off the source of the gas.

Turkey Signs Russian Missile Deal, Pivoting From NATO

ISTANBUL — In the clearest sign of his pivot toward Russia and away from NATO and the West, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Tuesday that Turkey had signed a deal to purchase a Russian surface-to-air missile system.

The deal cements a recent rapprochement with Russia, despite differences over the war in Syria, and comes as Turkey’s ties with the United States and European Union have become strained.

It is certain to stir unease in Washington and Brussels, where officials are trying to keep Turkey — a longtime NATO member, and an increasingly unlikely candidate for European Union membership — from entering Russia’s sphere of influence.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Too late on that last one; Turkey is now definitely "Under the influence" of Russia, as witnessed by this deal.

"When I am asked if there are Russian units there, I, referring to the information from our observers, say that these units are not there as such, but we see the presence of military equipment from the outside. In addition, we see a large presence of equipment and fuel, which came from somewhere, in addition, there are foreign military personnel in the region," he said.

Syria Summary – A New Clash Looms in Syria’s East

When the Islamic State siege on Deir Ezzor was broken by the Syrian Arab Army we asked:

Will the SAA cross the Euphrates at Deir Ezzor to retake the valuable oilfields east of it? Or will it stay south of the river and leave those oil fields to the Kurdish U.S. proxies in the north?

To cross the river is clearly desirable but also potentially contentious.

Since then several convoys of military bridging equipment have been seen on the road to Deir Ezzor. It is now obvious that the SAA will bridge the river (all regular bridges have been destroyed by U.S. bombing) and send significant forces across. New questions now are: When, where and with what aim?

The hatched areas of the map show possible next aims for the U.S. proxy campaign (yellow) and the Syrian government forces (red) in their fight against ISIS (grey) and against each other.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The question in my mind is not a question of if, but when US forces connect (unpleasantly) with Russian and Syrian forces over these oil fields.

War with Russia could be triggered on many fronts, like Ukraine, Iran, or Syria; it appears that those in the Bowels of Power in the Unhinged Surveilled States of America, are thinking seriously about the best scenario to "sell' to the American people as the justification for doing this.

Unfortunately for them, however, the citizens of this country have become very war-skeptical and war-weary, and are beginning to demand of those power brokers in the USSA, that they resolve their geopolitical differences with true diplomacy, and rational, moral hard-won negotiations, rather than through bombs and bullets.

The cost, in American blood and American money, has just been far too great to continue upon this path to national economic self-destruction;and remember that no 16 year-old teenager alive today has ever lived on a planet where the USSA wasn't at war, declared or undeclared, with some other country.

UN Nuclear Watchdog Defends Iran Deal

The UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), is responsible for verification of the P5+1 nuclear deal with Iran. This means they offer monthly assessments, all of which have affirmed Iran is in total compliance with its requirements under the deal.

Monthly reminders of that fact are increasingly seen as insufficient, however, with the US government publicly attacking the pact and making wild accusations of unspecific Iranian violations. Now, IAEA officials feel obliged to publicly defend the concept of a deal, the nature of this specific deal, and Iran’s compliance all at once.

IAEA chief Amano Yukiya today defended the deal’s verification program as the “most robust” ever, noting that the IAEA has dramatically increased its number of inspections in Iran since the deal was signed, calling the pact a “clear and significant gain.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The above was posted at antiwar.com, accompanied by the very troubling headline below:

Trump to weigh more aggressive strategy on Iran

I would very strongly caution President Trump against taking a more martial posture against Iran, and will politely remind him of the following: his BFF in the Middle East, Israel's Prime Minister Beyamin Netanyahu, is constantly clamoring for regime change in Tehran; but only at the costs of American blood and American money.

His perspective on Iran is thoroughly clouded by as much anti-Iranian propaganda the Israelis, and AIPAC, can steer his way.

And then, there is the sure and certain reality that if hostilities escalate into a shooting war between the US and Iran, Russia will most likely come to Iran's aid militarily.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It looks as though those in the bowels of power in the Unhinged Surveilled States of Amerika want to engineer a new "low" in our relationship with Russia, so that war can ultimately be the only possible outcome.

To those who champion such an outcome, I can only counsel: be careful what you wish for.

A New Twist in the Investigation into the Shooting Down of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17

In late August Russia handed over decoded radar data to the Netherlands from the aerial zone where Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down on July 17, 2014. These materials had initially been provided in their original, i.e., non-decoded form, along with the software needed to decode them.

However, the Dutch investigators, despite being armed with the latest in modern technology as well as the assistance of their British colleagues, were not able to decode the recordings, and in the end they asked Russian experts to do it. In three years this has been the only time they have asked to collaborate. Never before had the commission accepted any Russian offers of assistance.

The decoded recordings clearly showed that the missile had been fired from the zone controlled by the Ukrainian military. And this is not some fabricated story concocted by journalists, but documented, technical information.

The six-year war in Syria was never really about Syria alone. It was but a battlefield in a global war for dominance by the US and its allies. Syria was only one of many countries where the US has sought to establish its suzerainty through war for regime change.

When Russia stepped in to defend its Syrian ally at the end of 2015, that was the game-changer.>>>

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT RUSSIA’S BIG WARGAME ON NATO’S DOORSTEP

For weeks, Russia and Belarus have been preparing for Zapad 2017. Zapad is Moscow’s recurring Cold War-era wargame designed to show the world Russia can outmatch NATO. MASSIVE RUSSIAN, NATO WARGAMES SET TO BEGIN AMID MUTUAL ACCUSATIONS OF PROVOCATION

As the two old, cold war adversaries, Russia and NATO, prepare to begin massive war games to show off their respective military strengths, it was the UK's turn to accuse Russia first of "testing the West" by conducting war games on NATO’s eastern flank in its biggest military exercise in four years. Speaking on BBC's “The Andrew Marr Show” on Sunday, U.K. Defense Secretary Michael Fallon said that Russia's exercise "is designed to provoke us, it’s designed to test our defenses, and that’s why we have to be strong. Russia is testing us and testing us now at every opportunity. We’re seeing a more aggressive Russia. We have to deal with that."

Webmaster's Commentary:

NATO, having outlived its usefulness, post World War II, seems to have had to conjure up a bogeyman to justify its existence in the 21st century, and seems to have settled upon Russia as the "villain du jour" right now.

But looking at troop movements recently, in which NATO troops literally have Russia surrounded, any stupid miscalculation, any miscommunication, could trigger a shooting war which thinking people in Europe or Russia wants at all.

Let's collectively cross our fingers that things go precisely as planned, and that there is no "volatility" as a result of these Russian war games.

Losing in Syria, the US will target Russia more than ever

The spectacular victory this week for Syrian state forces and allies liberating Deir ez-Zor portends an end to the war. But celebrations should be tempered by the realization that the enemies of Syria will shift their agenda for conflict elsewhere.

If we segregate the many protagonists in Syria’s conflict, the two main rivals to emerge from the melee are the United States and Russia. Russia may have gained the upper hand in Syria. But, ironically, winning the peace in Syria may unleash wars elsewhere.

Reports that US military forces have been airlifting insurgents out of harm’s way in Syria suggest that Washington is saving its terrorist assets to fight another day, perhaps in some other unfortunate country targeted for regime change.

"The Guy is Hiding Something": Top Hillary Aide Suggests Bernie Colluded With Russia Too

The length to which Hillary Clinton and her team will go to shift blame onto others for President Trump’s victory last November is stunning.

Adam Parkhomenko, a long time aide to Hillary Clinton, took to Twitter Friday evening to rant about how great his boss’s presidential campaign was in 2016, while taking shots at her primary opponent Bernie Sanders.

In the middle of Parkomenko’s thread, the Clinton aide insinuates something quite explosive - Bernie Sanders may have colluded with Russia in the Democratic primary.

Israeli Intel Chief: Military Working to Attack Enemies ‘Near and Far’

While refusing to confirm or deny reports of Israel’s overnight attack on a Syrian military base, IDF military intelligence chief Maj. Gen. Harzi Halevi bragged of the Israeli military’s capabilities, saying they would continue to attack enemies “near and far.”

Maj. Gen. Halevi made it very clear that when he says “enemies,” he mans Iran, playing up the “threat” posed by Iranian forces in Syria, as well as Iranian forces in Iran. He played up the “precise intelligence” which Israel has for targeting them everywhere in the region.

These comments were echoed by Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, who also dodged the question about attacking Syria, but said that Israel was “ready and determined to defend ourselves,” also playing up the idea that this would be against Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Defense" for the Israeli government, has most generally translated as "offense" against peaceful countries in the region with which it steadfastly refuses to get along.

I would, however, politely issue a caveat for both Maj. Gen. Halevi and Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman: any Israeli-generated war against Iran will almost certainly mean a war with Russia, as both Russian military and civilian leadership have, collectively, gone on the record as stating that should Iran be attacked, Russia will come to Iran's aid militarily.

And gentlemen,I would politely ask you to please, collectively, disabuse yourselves of the notion that Americans are eager to sacrifice more blood and money to what is essentially an Israeli cause; Americans, after having been lied into those debacles which are the war in Afghanistan, and the war in Iraq, are both intensely war-weary, and war-skeptical.

What may be seen nationally as an Israeli imperative for regime change in Tehran, doesn't translate well at all to most American working people, no matter how hard AIPAC pushes this agenda: that Tehran must be regime changed, to please Israel, but America must bear the brunt of all the costs, both human, and financial, to accomplish such an end.

Germany disputes size of Russian wargames, predicts 100,000 troops

Germany said on Thursday that Russia was planning to send more than 100,000 troops to war games on NATO’s eastern flank this month, disputing Moscow’s version that only 13,000 Russian and Belarussian servicemen would participate.

The Sept. 14-20 exercises known as Zapad, or “West” in Belarus, the Baltic Sea, western Russia and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, are stirring unease in NATO despite Moscow’s assurances troops would rehearse a purely defensive scenario.

“It is undisputed that we are seeing a demonstration of capabilities and power of the Russians,” German Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen told reporters at an EU defense ministers’ meeting in Tallinn.

“Anyone who doubts that only has to look at the high numbers of participating forces in the Zapad exercise: more than one hundred thousand,” she said in a joint news conference with her French counterpart Florence Parly.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Methinks Germany protests too much; and where in the world did she get that number of 100,000?!?

These Zapad exercises have been carried on by the Russians for a number of years; why the big panic now?!?

And BTW, why has NATO seen fit to envelop Russia's borders with NATO troops over the last several years?!?

ISRAEL LAUNCHES AIR STRIKES ON SYRIA AND ASSAD'S "WAITING GAME"

Immediately after Israel's latest unprovoked strike on Syria we posed the question, did Benjamin Netanyahu just panic? The answer is yes, Israel is now acting from a position of desperation as it has failed in its goal of regime change in Syria. Overnight (Wed. evening/Thursday early morning), Israel attacked a Syrian military base near the town of Masyaf at about 3:00 a.m. which Syria has now confirmed in a statement that warns of "serious repercussions". Syria reported two troop deaths in the attack. It appears to have been a massive strike - grainy photos show a large fireball lighting up the night sky outside of Masyaf.

But this is the reason for Israeli media and defense officials quickly claiming that the strike at Masyaf was on a chemical weapons facility: they know the "humanitarian" angle sells in the West, especially when coupled with allegations of civilians being gassed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As reported in salon.com:

Seymour Hersh Casts Doubt on Reported Syrian Gas Attack

Right now, Netanyahu and his wife have been the targets of corruption probes in Israel. I do not know if these attacks are an attempt at "misdirection" of the national and international press, but the reputations of both of them havebeen irreparably damaged, making Netanyahu, geopolitically, a very wounded animal.

And nothing is more dangerous in this world than a geopolitically wounded animal, because it is impossible to know precisely where they will lash out, or why.

In his diminished emotional and intellectual state, Netanyahu may just haul off and attack Iran directly, expecting that the US will scream "We'll fight with you!" when a war against Iran most probably translates into a war with Russia, which the US military is thoroughly unprepared to successfully undertake.

Netanyahu is scheduled to address the UN on 19 September.

Israeli warplanes struck a military position near the Mediterranean coast in western Syria Thursday, killing two soldiers, the Syrian army said, in a stronghold of President Bashar Assad that is also heavily protected by the Russians and Iranians.

The airstrike targeted a facility near the town of Masyaf, in Hama province, described by some as a missile producing factory, amid Israeli outrage over Iran's growing influence in the war-torn country.

Other reports suggested the facility was tied to Syria's chemical weapons program.

In a statement, the Syrian army said the Israeli warplanes fired several missiles from Lebanese air space, and warned of the "dangerous repercussions of such hostile acts on the security and stability of the region."

Webmaster's Commentary:

In his last audience with Russian President Putin, Netanyahu made the comment that Israel would continue hitting Syria to prevent an Iranian presence here. He has now done precisely what he promised.

There will most likely be repercussions from this bombing, which may well be asymmetric in nature.

The US-Pakistan Standoff: Trump’s “Anti-Pakistan Strategy” is Directed against China and Russia

Beijing showed support to Pakistan right after Trump’s Afghanistan speech saying the country has made great sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. China’s foreign minister who was already in Pakistan on a visit agreed with Pakistani officials to maintain high level military, security and economic cooperation.

China’s “One Belt, One Road” project pumping US$ 55 billion into neighbor is alone a magnet to Pakistan’s Government. The US is opposed to China almost equally to Russia for disputed Islands in the South China Sea as well as its claims of standing by North Korea in the event of war with the US.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If President Trump wanted to push Pakistan into the Chinese/Russia economic/geopolitical orbit, he certainly did a fantastic job in doing that with his Afghanistan speech!!

Weapons of mass destruction will not be used on Korean peninsula - Putin

Russian president Vladimir Putin is confident that there will be no conflict with the use of weapons of mass destruction in North-East Asia, he said at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok.

“We hope it will not come to a conflict with the use of weapons of mass destruction in North-East Asia”, Russian president Vladimir Putin stated at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok.

“There are possibilities to achieve the settlement of Pyongyang’s problem by diplomatic means. This is possible and must be done,” he stated.

U.S. in Talks to Buy 5 Rocket Engines From Russia

A U.S.-based space company is expected to confirm plans to buy five previously banned Russian rocket engines by late September, the Kommersant business daily reported Wednesday, citing unidentified sources close to the Russian engine manufacturer.

A United Launch Alliance (ULA) delegation will visit the rocket engine manufacturer in Russia before the end of the month “to prove they are serious about their intent” to buy five RD-180 engines, the newspaper reported.

ULA reportedly has been engaged in secret talks for over a year with Russia’s Energomash on the purchase of 10 RD-180s. Initial plans to sign a contract in September 2016 were scrapped because of the U.S. presidential campaign and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk’s new engine tests, according to Kommersant.

Trump Threatens WW3 “Reviewing Plans To Send Weapons To Ukraine”

By Aaron Kesel

President Donald Trump is “actively reviewing” plans to send lethal weapons to Ukraine, according to the U.S Secretary of Defense as to what will be the words heard around the world and the move that starts WW3.

James Mattis has previously stated the United States “stands with Ukraine” after the country’s president, Petro Poroshenko, said there are at least 3,000 Russian troops on Ukrainian’s soil.”

He said Russia has not abided by the Minsk ceasefire agreement meant to end separatist violence in eastern Ukraine...

Putin on Trump: He is not my bride, and I’m not his groom

Russian President Vladimir Putin has refused to comment on domestic American politics and to criticize his US counterpart, taking a jab at Donald Trump by saying “He is not my bride, and I’m not his groom.”

Putin made the remarks at a news conference on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in China on Tuesday, answering a question whether the Russian leader was “disappointed” in Trump and in the improvement of Moscow-Washington relations amid a simmering diplomatic feud between the two countries.

Dismissing the question as “very naive,” Putin chastised the reporter and said, "He is not my bride, neither am I his bride or groom," referring to the US president.

Russia drafts UN Security Council resolution to send peacekeepers to Ukraine

Russia has proposed a draft resolution to the UN Security Council on sending UN peacekeepers to eastern Ukraine, to provide security for the OSCE monitoring mission after President Putin voiced the idea.

Russia has introduced a draft resolution to the UN Security Council (UNSC) on the establishment of a UN mission that would provide security for Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) monitors working in eastern Ukraine, the Russian UN envoy, Vasily Nebenzya, told journalists.

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the Foreign Ministry to submit the draft after voicing the idea at a press conference following the three-day BRICS summit in the Chinese city of Xiamen.

Breakthrough Russia military tech used GPS spoofing to cause ships to sail off course

The United States Department of Transportation Maritime Administration (MARAD) believes they may have seen the first documented use of GPS misdirection; a spoofing attack instigated by Russia that affected at least 20 ships, sending misleading signals to disrupt navigation targeting. Experts say that this could be the first signs of a new form of electronic warfare. If true, it could mean a devastating blow to our current technologies and how our naval officers coordinate with each other.

RUSSIAN MILITARY ADMITS SYRIA IS A TESTING GROUND FOR RUSSIAN WEAPONS

Confirming what many corporate media outlets have been saying for years, the Russian military recently admitted that Syria is a testing ground for Russia’s military capabilities, Russian-owned outlet TASS reports.

“More than 200 weapons have been tested during the special operation [in Syria], which demonstrated high combat effectiveness and proved to be mission-capable,” Chairman of the Military Science Committee of the Russian Armed Forces and Deputy Head of the General Staff Lieutenant General, Igor Makushev, said at the Army-2017 international military technical forum during a round table discussion on the Syrian experience last Friday.

“Special attention is paid to new arms models, including those that are undergoing state tests, in order to timely detect and quickly remove possible manufacturing and design defects,” Makushev also added.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Do I happen to detect just a tiny soupcon of Russia-bashing here?!?

The Russians have tested their weapons in real-time environments, and found them working, and well. And look at the statement by General Staff Lieutenant General, Igor Makushev: “Special attention is paid to new arms models, including those that are undergoing state tests, in order to timely detect and quickly remove possible manufacturing and design defects,” Makushev also added.

Do US weapons get this kind of going over when they are field-tested, in real combat environments?!?

IF, in fact, that is true, why is the F-35 still such an horrific epic fail?!?

And I would like to politely point out the following: Russia has not been alone in selling weapons to dictatorships:

Rex Tillerson lifts human rights conditions on the sales of arms to Bahrain

Trump ready to approve weapons packages to Saudi Arabia

The human rights records of the above-mentioned countries almost makes Attila the Hun look downright compassionate in comparison!!

PEPE ESCOBAR: WHY JIHADISM WON'T BE ALLOWED TO DIE: A serious working hypothesis is being discussed for a while now among independent geopolitical analysts. Here it is, in a nutshell.

Daesh may be dying – but the world is still encumbered with its walking corpse.

Plan B of Daesh’s masters may have been to indoctrinate repeated waves of misguided youth across the EU and “seduce” them into D.I. Y. jihadi terror, creating fear and insecurity in Europe. I’ve just been to Barcelona — and that’s not happening. No Fear.

Daesh can also manipulate its brand name to stake a claim into what we may call the New War Belt in Southwest Asia. That’s also not happening, because the “4+1” – Russia, Syria, Iran, Iraq, plus Hezbollah – with the addition of Turkey, and with China in a “leading from behind” role, are all working together.

The unfinished war across “Syraq” coupled with spasms of jihadism in Europe could certainly still metastasize into a massive Eurasian cancer, spreading like a plague from Afghanistan to Germany and vice-versa, and from the South China Sea to Brussels via Pakistan and vice-versa.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I understand that this is how the American deep state thinks and behaves; but is it truly capable of providing the level of strategy, arms, and personnel to make such actions actually successful against their alleged existential foes, Russia and China, before they collectively, haul off and attack the US?!?

Looking at the Ethnic Uighurs in China (heavily funded by Saudi Arabia, (a US proxy in the Middle East), their violence has only brought the heavy hand of of the Chinese state down harder against them, to the point where any training in foreign countries has been prevented by them being required to turn in their passports.

China orders Xinjiang residents to hand in passports: Citizens of restive region of 11 m Muslim Uighurs must apply to get papers back

This Uighur violence falls far short of either a geopolitical, or military, success.

And let's look at the jihadists in Syria; even though the US military has "dug in" its position in Syria, ostensibly to create a home for Kurdish nationalists, there is a question of just how long the Russians will put up with the nonsense of American troops being in Syria, uninvited, and attempting to balkanize it, and this could potentially be a flashpoint for a war between Russia and the United States.

If one looks at the big picture, the movements and actions of these Western-backed jihadists are, at best, "holding actions" and will not, ultimately be permitted, by Russia and China, to prevent China's New Silk Roads, or Russia's
Eurasia Economic Union.

The Latest US Thuggery Is a Sign of Weakness, Not Strength

For a while already the Russian diplomats have been openly saying that their American counterparts are ?????????????????? or “non-agreement capable”. This all began under Obama, when Kerry flew to meet with Lavrov and declared ‘A’, then flew back to Washington, DC and declared ‘B’. Then there were the cases in Syria when the US agreed to a deal only to break that very same deal in less than 24 hours. That’s when the Russians openly began to say that their US colleagues are rank amateurs who lack even the basic professionalism to get anything done.

Imposing sanctions on North Korea is useless, says Russian President Vladimir Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday said imposing sanctions on North Korea over its nuclear missile programme was “useless and ineffective”, BBC reported. Putin said the “military hysteria” will only lead to a “global catastrophe”.

The Russian president’s comments came a day after the United States urged the United Nations Security Council to impose stricter sanctions on Pyongyang. Putin was speaking after the Brics summit in China on Tuesday.

“Sanctions of any kind would now be useless and ineffective,” Putin said, according to BBC. “They’d rather eat grass than abandon their programme unless they feel secure...We should promote dialogue among all interested parties.”

Washington is looking for an escalation in diplomatic standoff with Russia

Sometimes you just have to laugh. Because when it comes to Western media coverage of Russian-American tussles, clearly what's good for the goose isn't good for the gander. So, let's put the shoe on the other foot, for a moment.

Imagine an alternative universe where US officials reacted with outrage on Saturday after the Russian Foreign Ministry announced it was closing the US Consulate in Vladivostok and giving staff only 48 hours’ notice to evacuate.

To compound matters, on Monday, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) indicated its intention to carry out searches at the building on Tuesday afternoon. The raids would extend to trade missions in the capital, Moscow.

‘Illegal, meaningless clownery’: Russia condemns US searches of diplomatic property

The FBI has conducted searches at Russian diplomatic compounds in the US, which the Russian Foreign Ministry calls “meaningless clownery.” Russian diplomats have posted photo and video evidence of what they call a “travesty of justice.”

Can the BRICS hold back US war with North Korea?

As Russia and its BRICS partners convene this week, the organization faces a momentous test of its global influence: can it hold the line and insist on a diplomatic solution to the alarming US standoff with North Korea?
The ninth annual summit of the BRICS – Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa – comes at a critical time. Ahead of the two-day conference opening Sunday in China’s southern port city of Xiamen, Russian President Vladimir Putin published an article warning that the North Korea crisis is “on the brink of large-scale conflict.”

It just goes to show how precarious the situation has become and why President Putin’s warning about the region being on the brink of war is apt. The risk of misunderstanding is grave and increasing with each round of bellicose exchange.

Putin is absolutely right. The only way back from the precipice of a nuclear war is for all parties to hold direct dialogue without preconditions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We appear to have an absolutely no-win situation between an intransigent and bellicose Unhinged, Surveilled States of America, and a belligerent, unmoving North Korea.

The three guys, in this geopolitical mess I would call "The Adults in the Room", are Russia's President Putin; Russia's Foreign Ambassador Sergei Lavrov, and China's President Jingping.

And Putin is right; the only way back from the abyss is negotiations with zero preconditions; unfortunately, those in the bowels of US Deep State power in DC, will not see this situation in that way, even though millions of South Koreans will die in such an attack by the US against North Korea.

I wish I could see a scenario where war against North Korea will not take place, but that is pretty darned hard right now.

With this new North Korean detonation, look for the US presstitutes to be shilling that a military strike is the only answer, starting late today or early tomorrow, and hitting hard next week. Watch the number of times commercials aren't running, in order to force-focus the public's attention on this codswallop.

Just please remember the following warning, channeled through my "Inner Cynical Child": US citizens are "sold" wars just like they are sold cars, homes, bicycles, and bug spray. But let's not be buying this time, because we are looking at a potentially cataclysmic war, which may well turn into World War III.

Washington Is Preparing for Nuclear War in Europe

Amid mounting military and diplomatic tensions between the US and Russia, the German daily Süddeutsche Zeitung reported Friday that the American Congress has taken the first steps toward Washington’s annulling of the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty.

The INF, or Washington Treaty on Mid-range Nuclear Systems, is a bilateral agreement reached between the United States and the Soviet Union on the decommissioning of short- and mid-range missiles (with a range of between 500 and 5,500 miles), and the banning of their production.

The treaty, signed on 8 December 1987 by US President Ronald Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, led to a significant reduction of US nuclear weapons in Europe. The nuclear-armed mid-range Pershing II missiles, whose stationing in Western Europe five years earlier had triggered the largest peace demonstrations to that point in history, were withdrawn.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why in the name of all that's holy, would Putin want to invade the Baltics?!?

The guy is many things, but there two things he isn't, and those are stupid and impulsive.

Here's the info on these drills, scheduled to run from 14 through 20 September of this year:

Russia Plans Huge Zapad 2017 Military Exercises With Belarus

These drills have gone off without a hitch, in years before, so why the hype about this year's Zapad drills?!?

If I were a betting person, I would not bet against some kind of "false flag" created by either NATO and/or the US, then blamed on Russia, as the "trigger incident" to get such a war going.

The Deep Staters in the Unhinged, Surveilled States of America, want to see a war happen, (any war), to precede the collapse of the US economy, and act as a distraction from it.

Magicians do this all the time; in that trade, it is called "misdirection".

Unfortunately, the "misdirection" the US Deep Staters are planning comes with horrific costs in blood and money.

Russia warns US against using force over North Korea

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has urged Washington not to use force against North Korea, as tensions surged after the latest missile test by Pyongyang.

In a phone call late Wednesday with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Lavrov "underscored... the need to refrain from any military steps that could have unpredictable consequences," the foreign ministry in Moscow said.

Russia´s lead diplomat said any attempts to toughen sanctions against North Korea would be "counterproductive and dangerous" while condemning Pyongyang´s firing of a missile over Japan as a "gross violation" of United Nations resolutions.

Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova at a briefing on Thursday warned that "the contest of force that is now being demonstrated, will only lead the region to the brink of a military conflict."

She pushed for holding peace talks to cool down the situation, saying that "at the moment only Russia and China have put forward a realistic initiative."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Zakharova is entirely right to be calling for peace talks; such actions are the only thing which can ratchet down the tensions here.

But Xi Jinping has got to reason with North Korea's Kim Jung Un about his over the top rhetoric, like his news agency making the announcement that North Korea is starting "...a Pacific offensive", as happened this morning.

That is just not helping anything become more calm.

IAEA: Iran Complying With Nuclear Deal

n their latest monthly statement on the P5+1 nuclear deal, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has once again confirmed that Iran is in total compliance with the deal, and that its low-enriched uranium stockpile is well within limits.

This is the statement they’ve issued every time since the deal was implemented, but comes at an increasingly important time, as President Trump has repeatedly claimed he considers Iran to be in violation is some non-specific way.

It also comes amid calls from US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley for the IAEA to inspect all of Iran’s conventional military facilities, to try to look for some violations. The IAEA, however, has insisted that there is no need for this.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ambassador Haley has proven herself an absolute, consummate embarrassment to the Trump administration, by attempting to go after issues regarding Iran, which were never part of the original P5+1 deal.

Unless the Administration has something highly specific that they can point to, this witch hunt against Iran should be over by now.

But of course, it will not be over, because Israel's Netanyahu is very keen on regime change in Tehran, but let me remind you, only at the costs of American blood, and American money.

So look for some horrific false flag to be blamed on Iran, and off we go to war against it; this will, of course, nearly certainly mean war against Russia, which has promised to defend Iran, should it be attacked militarily.

UN Warns US Inflicting ‘Unacceptable’ Civilian Casualties in Raqqa Strikes

The US recently spurned a call by the UN to temporarily halt airstrikes on the Syrian city of Raqqa to allow civilians to flee. That call had come after multiple instances of US strikes killing civilians in and around the city.

Today, UN officials are warning that the city’s population is paying an “unacceptable price” from the US airstrikes, and that continued US bombardment may be in violation of international law as a result. The US has been trying to back an invasion of Raqqa against ISIS.

US officials have insisted they are taking utmost care to avoid civilian deaths. In reality, however, the Pentagon’s main effort in keeping the official death toll down has been to deliver preposterously low undercounts of how many they’ve killed in reports.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US government and military don't give a damn about civilian casualties, which will spike, and soon; it's all about completing the agenda here, and the horrific toll in "collateral damage" doesn't matter.
