INSIDE THE APOCALYPTIC SOVIET DOOMSDAY MACHINE

"The Perimeter system is very, very nice," he says. "We remove unique responsibility from high politicians and the military." He looks around again.

Yarynich is talking about Russia's doomsday machine. That's right, an actual doomsday device—a real, functioning version of the ultimate weapon, always presumed to exist only as a fantasy of apocalypse-obsessed science fiction writers and paranoid über-hawks. The thing that historian Lewis Mumford called "the central symbol of this scientifically organized nightmare of mass extermination." Turns out Yarynich, a 30-year veteran of the Soviet Strategic Rocket Forces and Soviet General Staff, helped build one.

A spherical bunker in Russia was the most secure place in the entire Cold War

The Dead Hand system was the Soviet Union's last line of deterrence in the event of a crippling nuclear strike, a way to inflict millions of casualties on its enemies even if the Soviet chain of command were decapitated.

The system was set up in 1985, not long after the most serious war scare of the late Cold War period. It's been likened to a real-life doomsday machine, and it isn't decisively known if the Kremlin's dismantled it.

David Hoffman, a Washington Post contributing editor and author of a Pulitzer Prize-winning history of the Cold War nuclear arms race, recently described the mechanics of the Dead Hand system on arms control scholar Jeffrey Lewis's podcast. The Dead Hand or "perimeter," which Hoffman characterized as a "system of guaranteed retaliation," had a critical human safeguard, bunkered in an incredibly strange underground chamber.

The US Empire, the CIA, and the NGOs

The CIA recruited the Muslim Brotherhood to fight a proxy war against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan, which led to the withdrawal of the Soviets from the Hindu Kush. Since then, the CIA used the mercenaries to fight more proxy wars in the Balkans, Chechnya, and Azerbaijan. Due to the wars of aggression against Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen the US and its vassal states created sectarian violence that led to civil wars. Right now, the CIA and the Muslim Brotherhood are present in the form of ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

Putin expects Russian-European Mars landing mission to crown with success

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said on Friday he hoped that the joint Russian-European project to land a probe on the Red Planet would crown with success.

"We are planning to take part together with European colleagues in the exploration of Mars. By the way, we are already taking part," the Russian leader said, answering children’s questions during the program "A Serious Talk With Vladimir Putin."

The Russian president was asked about whether there were plans to colonize the Red Planet.

The Europeans tried to land a probe on Mars with Russia’s participation recently but this effort failed, Putin said.

Turkey Poised To Invade Syria's Idlib Province As Inter-Jihadist Violence Rages

Two Salafi-jihadi factions in Syria's Idlib province have been engaged in a brutal inter-"rebel" (or rather inter-jihadist) war this week, prompting Turkey to prepare a potential invasion to protect its favored factions on the ground. On Thursday, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS/Al-Qaeda) continued to capture towns in Idlib's countryside from rival Ahrar al-Sham and Turkish backed FSA groups after an uneasy truce between the rebel factions quickly collapsed days prior, causing the weaker Ahrar al-Sham to call in Turkish support.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The tragedy which has been Syria the last half-decade, appears to show no signs of ending any time soon; hopefully, the Russians will hold sway here, and influence Turkey away from even the concept of this invasion.

Geopolitical Turbulence in the Caucasus

To put it very simply, after Syria the Caucasus – barely 800 miles to the northeast – is literally Russia’s second line of defense, its “soft underbelly,” to use a worn but apposite phrase. Quite understandably, Russia is in Syria, among other reasons, precisely to make sure that it would not have to fall back to the aforementioned defense line. Its geopolitical opponents, however, are doing their utmost to see to it that it does. Hence the intense turbulence and maneuvering between Baku and Tbilisi, and beyond.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A new US military base, right on Russia's border in Georgia?!? And ready for occupation and activity by the end of this year?!?

This gives me a sense of what a timeline might be for a NATO-led war with Russia; let's say, maybe 5 months out, give or take, from today?!?

The accompanying buildup of NATO'S troops right on Russia's doorstep is no accident, either.

Map showing where NATO troops are stationed right on Russia's borders

Suddenly, I am very much seeing the moves on this chessboard, potentially leading to another world war.

Chechnya’s Leader Claims “Russian Doomsday Device” Is Activated

Kadyrov said, “America is not really a strong enough state for us to regard it as an enemy of Russia. We have a strong government and are a nuclear state. Even if our government was completely destroyed, our nuclear missiles would be automatically deployed. We will put the whole world on its knees and screw it from behind.” That comment certainly puts the left’s insistence on a war with Russia in perspective. And Kadyrov is probably being more accurate than not in that statement.

According to The New York Times, Russia built a system in the 1980s that could do what Kadyrov described, known as the Perimeter System. Bruce Blair, the former US nuclear officer who broke the story of the Perimeter System for The New York Times in 1993, told Business Insider that the system works when it detects nuclear explosions. Only a small crew, deep in a bunker, has a hand in the otherwise automated system, according to Blair.

Hundreds of Russian Forces Deployed in Southern Syria

Syria's ARA news quoted local sources as saying that 400 Russian military police forces have reached the driving training center near the village of al-Mothabin and the town of al-Sanamin in Northern Dara'a which are controlled by the Syrian army.

The sources also said that the Syrian soldiers have set up a temporary military base for the Russian military police forces in the Northern parts of al-Isharah Battalion 110 region and near the town of al-Sanamin.

Reports said that the Russian forces visited several army-controlled areas, including the military ones, as well as the regions near the terrorist-held regions in the towns of Izra'a, Kharbat Qazaleh and Sheikh Meskin.

Israeli General: We Won’t Let Iran Win the Syrian War - Ceasefire Sees Israel Escalating Threats Against Iran

Israel has made no secret of not liking the southern Syria ceasefire, negotiated between the US and Russia, complaining in particular that it doesn’t keep the Syrian government, and its Iranian allies, totally barred from that part of the country, which they see as tantamount to letting Iran be too close to the Israeli border.

Israeli Maj. Gen. Yaakov Amidror is the latest to step up the ever-growing series of threats against Iran over the matter, attending a briefing with foreign correspondents today and warning that if the US and Russia don’t resolve Israel’s complaints, the Israeli military will “intervene and destroy every attempt to build infrastructure in Syria.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israeli Maj. Gen. Yaakov Amidror, a word please; have you gone absolutely barking dog mad, to have made that statement?!?

First, are you really so smug and secure that you would go head to head, militarily, in a foreign country, up against the Russians, who will simply not allow this madness?!?

And did you NOT get the memo that China is going to have a significant role to play in the rebuilding of Syria's infrastructure?!?

Why China wants in on Syria's Reconstruction

Is Israel really ready... to go to war against China, Russia, and Iran, to prevent infrastructure from getting rebuilt in Syria?!?

I sense, sir, that you have really not thought this through to its logical conclusion.

US ‘global strike’ concept a direct threat, nuclear arms are good deterrent – Russian naval doctrine

The quest for global domination in the world’s oceans, as well as the global strike concept of the US and its allies, puts international stability at risk and poses a direct military threat to Russia, the country’s new naval doctrine states.
Moscow’s demonstration that it is prepared to use force, including non-strategic nuclear weaponry, is an efficient way to deter this threat, the document says.

One of the main challenges faced by Russia is the “strive of a number of states, mainly the US and its allies, for domination in the World Ocean, including the Arctic region, as well as for establishing overwhelming superiority of their naval forces,” according to “the state policy of the Russian Federation in the field of naval activities for the period up to 2030,” as ratified by a Decree of the President of Russia on Thursday.

Russia Unveils The Future Of Warfare, And It’s A “Fully Automated Combat Module” That Can Identify Targets On Its Own

For decades the US military has been on the cutting edge of aerial warfare, especially when it comes to drones. Our military has thousands of UAVs which have become ubiquitous in every American war since 9/11. However, they’ve proven to be a mixed bag. They have certainly given our soldiers an edge on the battlefield, but they’ve also killed thousands of civilians, which in turn has motivated countless individuals to take up arms against us. Regardless, there’s no doubt that drones are here to stay, and will be a common sight on the battlefield well into the future.

"We Are Ready To Retaliate" Russia Warns After "Diplomatic Row" Ends Without A Deal

Shortly after CNN reported late on Monday that according to Russian deputy foreign minister Rybakov, the Russian government was "almost" at a deal on getting back property seized by the US...

... the Russian rejected the report, instead saying that the U.S. must return the seized properties after diplomatic talks with the U.S. in Washington ended without a deal, with the Russian Foreign Ministry saying that Moscow reserved the right to take "retaliatory measures" against the United States. The ongoing "diplomatic row" as Reuters puts it regards the December 2016 seizure by Barack Obama of two Russian diplomatic compounds and the expulsion of 35 Russian diplomats over what he said was their involvement in hacking the 2016 U.S. presidential election campaign.

Russia Questions OPCW’s Omission Of White Helmets Video Used to Justify U.S. Strike on Syria

By Brandon Turbeville

Although any shred of investigation regarding the chemical incident in Khan Sheikhoun, Syria reveals that the Syrian government did not use chemical weapons, it has not stopped the United States and its allies as well as the Western corporate media from reporting claims that Assad personally ordered chemical attacks against civilians in a non-strategic location with chemical weapons he no longer has.

After the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) determined that sarin gas was indeed used, Western media has been alight with propaganda, hysterics and worries over “crimes against humanity.” This is all despite the fact that there were no on-the-ground investigators from the OPCW, and the only samples they came in contact with were those provided to them by terrorists and terrorist-supporting NGOs...

Newly Released Email Shows Bill Clinton Paid $500,000 for Moscow Speech While Hillary Opposed Russia Sanctions

A previously leaked e-mail and a suspect coincidence show that Hillary Clinton and the Russian lawyer who met with Donald Trump Jr. had very similar interests back in 2010.

A new Fox News report indicates that Mrs. Clinton and the lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, shared mutual opposition to sanctions against Russia in 2010.

Veselnitskaya’s opposition seems self-explanatory, as her interests clearly were in benefiting her country.

But Clinton’s became a curiosity based on the fact that her husband, former president Bill Clinton, had given a paid speech in Moscow around that time – to the tune of $500,000.

NATO can ‘deter’ Russia, Romanian president says amid drills in E. Europe (VIDEO)

NATO forces are able to deter Russia and they already do so by holding exercises in eastern Europe, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis said as he visited the site of drills staged by NATO and several partner countries in Romania.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, a word, please: Russia doesn't want war.

It wants trade.

And it has some incredible goods to trade, like non-GMO agriculture, oil, and natural gas.

This constant Russia-bashing on the part of you, and your colleagues in Eastern Europe, is a completely unfair, and disingenuous branding of this country, perhaps as a prelude to a NATO war against it, and you have to know that.

US Building a Third Military Airport in Syrian Kurdistan

Amid growing focus on the US quietly establishing military bases across the Middle East and Northern Africa, reports out of the autonomous Syrian Kurdistan region of Rojava say that US workers have begun construction on a new military airbase in Tel Baidar, 40 km west of Hasakeh.

Though the US doesn’t publicly affirm these bases exist, this would be the third fully-working military airbase in Rojava,as the US had previously built bases in Kobane and Rumailan. The bases are largely being used to fly gear to the Kurdish forces, but also could support some smaller military planes.

Legally speaking, that might be an issue, as the White House has been openly trying to get Congress to grant President Trump unilateral authority to establish bases in both Iraq and Syria, but all signs point to them having already been establishing such bases since the last few months of Obama’s term.

THE US DEEP STATE: SABOTAGING PUTIN-TRUMP CEASEFIRE AGREEMENT IN SYRIA

The meeting between Trump and Putin at the G20 in Hamburg injects new hope into the complicated relationship between the United States and Russia. Only time can confirm whether there is any basis for this hope.

In their first meeting, within less than two hours, Putin and Trump came to an agreement on potentially the most volatile situation in the region, saving hundreds of civilian lives in the process. The agreement on Syria now has to run the gauntlet of the deep state and all the other interests arrayed against Trump. Just four days following a similar agreement reached in 2016 between Obama and Putin, everything was upended by the US Air Force bombing and killing nearly a hundred soldiers of the Syrian Arab Army in Deir ez-Zor, shredding the ceasefire agreement that had just been reached.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What Putin and Trump agreed upon here makes every bit of logical sense; which is why both Israel and the American Deep State are adamantly opposed to it, because it diminishes war as any kind of solution to regime change Damascus, and makes it more dicey for Israel to nibble off any more bits of Syrian territory than it already has with its illegal occupation of the Golan Heights.

ISRAEL REJECTS US, RUSSIA SYRIAN CEASEFIRE DEAL – PRESENTS LIST OF DEMANDS

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made clear today that he and his government opposes the ongoing ceasefire in Southern Syria, a deal negotiated between the United States and Russia, and which has continued to hold throughout the past week.

Netanyahu made the comments during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, declaring himself totally opposed to the ceasefire. Israeli officials revealed that the objections are primarily related to Iran still having forces inside Syria supporting the Assad government.

Israeli officials revealed that the objections are primarily related to Iran still having forces inside Syria supporting the Assad government.

Officials also say that during the US-Russia negotiations which led to the deal, Netanyahu presented the two sides with a “list of demands,” mostly insisting that Shi’ite forces couldn’t be allowed in southern Syria at all and that Iran could not be allowed to “consolidate” its position in Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, a word please: neither you, nor your government, are in any kind if legitimate position to make these "demands" on Russia, the Syrian Government, Iran, or the United States.

I would like to politely remind you that Russia (and some elements of Iranian forces) are in Syria at that government's invitation; Israel was not invited at all to be here.

TURKEY BEGINS BOMBING US-BACKED YPG POSITIONS IN SYRIA

It started two weeks ago, when Turkey warned publicly it was preparing for military intervention in Syria, while accusing the US of creating a "terrorist army" (it wasn't referring to ISIS, but US-backed Syrian Kurdish militia YPG). As a reminder, YPG forms a major part of the U.S.-backed campaign to capture Islamic State's stronghold of Raqqa, and whose forces are seen as a terrorist organization by Turkey. The group currently controls a pocket of territory in Afrin, about 200 km (125 miles) west of Raqqa.

Tensions between Turkish forces and the YPG have been mounting in the Afrin region in recent weeks: Turkey's military, which launched an incursion last August into part of northern Syria which lies between Afrin and a larger Kurdish-controlled area further east, has said that it has returned fire against members of YPG militia near Afrin several times in the last few weeks.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder; with Russia doing everything it can to protect Syria's territorial integrity, how, and when, they are going to get Turkey to stop this, if they can?!?

RUSSIA & CHINA DECLARE ALL OUT WAR ON US PETRODOLLAR — PREPARE FOR EX

The formation of a BRICS gold marketplace, which could bypass the U.S. Petrodollar in bilateral trade, continues to take shape as Russia’s largest bank, state-owned Sberbank, announced this week that its Swiss subsidiary had begun trading in gold on the Shanghai Gold Exchange.

Russian officials have repeatedly signaled that they plan to conduct transactions with China using gold as a means of marginalizing the power of the dollar in bilateral trade between the geopolitically powerful nations. This latest movement is quite simply the manifestation of a larger geopolitical game afoot between great powers.

According to a report published by Reuters:

Sberbank was granted international membership of the Shanghai exchange in September last year and in July completed a pilot transaction with 200 kg of gold kilobars sold to local financial institutions, the bank said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF you can manage to get into some physical gold and silver, while the price in the US is still being suppressed, now would be one heck of a good time to do this.

We may well be seeing the US starting to use two types of currencies; one, internal to the US, and one external, backed in gold and/or silver; but the days of the petrodollar appear to be numbered right now.

Russian AK-47 Gun Maker Turns to Future of Autonomous Weapons

By Nicholas West

The Kalashnikov AK-47 is certainly one of the most iconic automatic weapons ever devised. Today, nearly 70 years after its debut, worldwide demand continues to rise so rapidly that the company announced earlier in the year that they were hiring 1,700 employees to meet projected sales.

While the AK-47 is known for its bare-bones utility, Kalashnikov is clearly seeing the present trend in warfare that is leading to a future where an increasing number of robots will share the battlefield with humans, and will be empowered with a rising degree of autonomy via artificial intelligence...

The Rape of Russia Explained by Anne Williamson

When the Soviet Union cracked up, American journalist Anne Williamson was a popular freelancer on all things Russian for the Wall Street Journal and other prestigious outlets. A major New York publisher signed her to a contract for a book on Russia in 1993. But when she finally delivered a manuscript in 1997 predicting that the Russian bond market would crash in 1998 (which it did), nobody in the publishing world would touch it. Williamson believes that her criticism of the Clinton Administration and, especially, of George Soros made it radioactive. According to a 2001 essay in the New York Review of Books, Williamson’s unpublished book was “widely read in manuscript.”

New US sanctions will be timed to tank the ruble before Russian elections

Our monetary authorities are doing everything possible to ensure that gang of international speculators [American hedge funds] can enter. Because there are no restrictions on cross-border capital flows. And most importantly, not only to come in, but also to exit. And what we are now witnessing is just the beginning of a process of packing suitcases and departure of these investors. But we know that this sword of Damocles of American law is hanging over Russia, which will toughen economic sanctions, practically stripping Russia of any credit. And therefore, until this draconian law is enacted, in my estimation, it can happen somewhere in December, they have this time to pack up the capital and leave.

Ukraine In NATO? America Should Reject A Bad Idea That Only Grows Worse With Age

The government of Ukraine reaffirmed its desire to join NATO. The alliance said the door is open for Kiev. It’s an idea that only grows worse with age.

It’s easy to understand why a majority of Ukrainians want NATO’s protection. They really want America’s protection. And who wouldn’t like the global superpower to take over one’s defense? Their country established its first contact with the alliance in 1991 when Ukraine joined the North Atlantic Cooperation Council. Since then Kiev has received aid and support while contributing troops to some allied operations.

And given the fact that the U.S. would do most of the heavy lifting in any conflict with nuclear-armed Russia, the critical question for Washington is whether adding a new member would increase Americans’ security.

Russian Weapons Maker To Build AI-Directed Guns

Kalashnikov’s upcoming product shows how the US and Russia are on wildly different paths to autonomy.

The Destructiveness Of America’s Alliances

Alliances between nations are military. Without being military, they would be nothing. Trade agreements don’t require any alliances at all. U.S. Bases Strategically Placed to Prevent Syrian Military From Advancing; Outlining Borders of Kurdistan

Despite the spits and spurts of World War Three, it seems the United States (at least part of the establishment) and Russia are beginning to move toward a cooling of their approaches to the Syrian crisis. While we have seen this many times in the past – the apparent mutual understanding of Russia and the U.S. – we have been consistently been rattled by an abrupt push by the United States toward a greater involvement in Syria and a push that could very well be the catalyst for a third world war.

While there obviously remains the possibility that the United States will once again lash out like a dying lunatic empire, risking the lives of everyone on earth, we might also ask whether or not the U.S. has had a change in strategy or even perhaps whether or not the American “Plan B” is coming to fruition.

U.S. Bases In Syria Set The Borders For A Federalized Country

Webmaster's Commentary:

This balkanisation of Syria is an illegal and immoral act on the part of the American government, to make it more "pliable" to Western demands.

But there is a question of just how long Russia, which has been invited by the Syrian government to get rid of the jihadis, will put up with it. The question is: just how far they are willing to go to get these American encampments out of Syria?!? And that is where things could get... nasty very quickly.

Ukraine De Facto Turns Into a NATO Military Platform, Sharpened for Use Against Russia

These days the airport of Odessa turned into a natural NATO airfield that only just manages to receive and send military aircraft with staff and military equipment. The Odessa “patriotic” Dumskaya.Net publication, literally choking with delight at such proximity to NATO “saviors”, regularly publishes photo reports on these take-offs and landings, from which it is possible to have a certain notion of the plans of the alliance’s command. Thus, just in a week in Odessa the arrival of the following military plans of the alliance was recorded.

But, perhaps, the most interesting visitor was the latest American distant anti-submarine Poseidon R-8 plane, which in general arrived in Ukraine for the first time.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This NATO upgrade of the former Soviet military airbase in Artsyz does not bode well for peace on this planet at all.

Ignore the Haters. Russia Is Not Our Enemy.

Those hoping for an early end to the Trump administration received a gift this week as Donald Trump Jr. disclosed an exchange with a Russian lawyer. The Russian hacking story now promises to dominate headlines for the remainder of Trump's presidency, however long it lasts.

For the duration, talking heads will be telling us that Russia is an adversary and a hostile threat. But regardless of whether the president was involved, Russia hating, while great for the military-industrial complex, is inimical to world peace and broader American prosperity.

The intelligence and military leakers and Trump's political enemies believe friendly relations with Vladimir Putin's government are dangerous. But since Russia can annihilate our country, the greater danger is not engaging with Putin.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are a number of areas in which the US and Russia should be collaborating, such as anti-terrorism work; science; and medical research.

But I cannot believe, for one second, that Russia is the US government's biggest problem. And utterly no proof has been presented that Russia attempted to turn the election in Trump's favor.

We have innumerable problems at home that need to be fixed; we have wars which show no sign of getting won, which should be wound down; our health care is in shambles; and a bankrupt Federal Government, combined with bankrupt states, like Illinois, which may well be just the start of that unwinding.

Jobs have been offshored/outsourced to the point that the middle class is fading; and the general quality of what passes for "education" is just absolutely deplorable.

And no, Russia is not the source of these woes; it is because of lousy decisions by Federal and state leadership, only interested in lining their own pockets, while their "alleged constituents" are forced to live with the consequences of these bad decisions...like the people in Flint, Michigan, who, years after the contamination was known to exist, still do not have clean drinking water!

Begala: We Should ‘Debate Whether We Should Blow Up’ Russia

Long-time Clinton family ally Paul Begala on Wednesday evening seemingly suggested President Trump should consider bombing Russia in response to the Kremlin’s meddling in the 2016 election. Speaking with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, the former adviser to Bill Clinton lamented how Trump supporters don’t seem particularly outraged about Russia’s meddling in American affairs. “We were and are under attack by a hostile foreign power,” he said, “and... we should be debating how many sanctions we should place on Russia or whether we should blow up the KGB, GSU, or GRU [Russia’s foreign intelligence agency].” He continued: “If I was Trump, I would be mad because it has tainted his victory.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. Begala, forgive me, but I must ask; have you gone absolutely foaming at the mouth, mad-dog insane, to suggest such a thing?!?

And sir, did you not get the memo the the "Big Lie" went out with the whoopie cushion, and the dribble glass?!?

CyberBerkut hackers believe that the Clinton Foundation's donor Victor Pinchuk, a son-in-law of former Ukrainian President Kuchma, could have been behind the money laundering scheme involving IMF funds intended for Ukraine. While the American mainstream media is struggling to find Russian "traces" in the US 2016 presidential campaign, the story of the Ukrainian interference in the election remains largely neglected.

‘Fraud News Wrong Again’: CNN Host Falsely Claims President Trump Would Have Approved Hillary-Backed Uranium One Deal

This time, anchor Alisyn Camerota falsely claimed in an exchange with ex-Trump campaign communications director Jason Miller that President Trump would have approved the Uranium One deal that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pushed through. That deal saw the Russians gain control of nuclear energy company Uranium One through multiple transactions over several years, as a steady stream of millions of dollars poured into the Clinton Foundation. Clinton, as Secretary of State, approved the transaction that placed the Uranium One assets in Russian control as the donations were being made to her family’s foundation.

John McCain WasThe Globalist Point Man In Efforts To Destroy Trump Campaign

Check out this excerpt from a now breaking report by the Daily Mail:

“…McCain dispatched a ‘trusted emissary’ who flew across the Atlantic to meet the source of the documents at an airport that the Guardian did not name.

The aide was instructed to look for a man with a copy of the Financial Times and that’s how the individuals met, with the source taking McCain’s emissary back to his house and giving the American a copy of the documents.

Within 24 hours, the dossier was in Washington, though the contents of the file couldn’t be verified without an investigation.

McCain, the Guardian said, was worried that his actions might be interpreted as revenge for some of the controversial comments Trump made about him – such as knocking the fact that the longtime senator had been a prisoner of war.

However, McCain decided to hand over the documents to FBI Director James Comey on December 9.

NEOCONS GET IN HERE: TUCKER CARLSON JUST HUMILIATED MAX BOOT ON NATIONAL TV

Over the past 30 years, the neocons have presided over the worst foreign policies in American history -- pursuing their Trotskyite schemes of war that have accelerated to an ebb tide that peaked during Bush the Idiot's reign.

Men like Max Boot, Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld, Bill Kristol, Richard Perle, and many others, have attached themselves to the republican party like a cancerous tumor -- transforming it from a checkered pants, cigar smoked room, boys club into a satanic cult out for the blood of the indigenous.

At the root of the neocon "plan", being disciples of Trotsky, is the destruction of "Mother Russia." It's in their blood -- because they're still mad at Stalin. This has been a constant since the 50's. It was only after the Berlin Wall fell and there was a detente between the United States and Russia in the 90s did these revolutionaries affix themselves to the GOP with real energy.

Russia Sends 'Devastating Monster' to Syria

The Terminator 2 is a tank that is designed to protect other tanks, specially in urban areas. It’s built from refurbished hulls from the venerable T-72 main battle tank. But instead of mounting a big 125-millimeter cannon, the BMPT-72 is armed a remarkably diverse suite of weapons that includes two thirty-millimeter cannon, four Ataka-T antitank missiles and a heavy machine gun. This gives the Terminator 2 the capability to engage infantry and light armored vehicles with its cannon, and tanks and buildings with its guided antitank missiles.

The first version of the Terminator was designed in the late 1990s. It was a five-man vehicle based on the chassis of the T-90 tank, according to Russian media.

"We Are Forced To Strike Back": Russia Set To Expel 30 US Diplomats, Seize US Assets

When Obama announced the expulsion of 35 Russian diplomats and the seizure of Russian diplomatic compounds in Maryland last December, in response to alleged Russian interference in the election, Putin just smiled and said Russia would not retaliate, expecting that relations between Russia and the US would normalize under president Trump. Six months later, relations have not only not normalized but have deteriorated further following the latest round of sanctions against Russia despite daily allegations that Trump colluded with the Kremlin to convince several million Americans to vote against Hillary.

And, as a result, Putin's patience appears to have run out, and according to Russian newspaper Izvestiya, the Kremlin is set to expel around 30 US diplomats and freeze some US assets in a retaliatory move against Washington.

Was Trump Junior Framed?

As a storm breaks over Washington, and the details of foreign “collusion” and intrigue over the 2016 presidential election break out into the open, I just happened to be re-reading Gore Vidal’s The Golden Age, a novel set in the run up to World War II in which pretty much the same plot line plays out on the same terrain.
There is Don Junior, the fresh-faced and rather obtuse presidential progeny, who walks straight into the arms of the clownish Bob Goldstone, a former British tabloid journalist and events promoter, who set up the fateful meeting. There is Natalia Veselnitskaya, a Russian lawyer who previously worked with Fusion GPS, the dirty tricks firm employed by the Never Trump crowd that came up with the salacious “dirty dossier,” claiming that Trump had been compromised by Russian intelligence.

America & Russia on a KNIFE EDGE: Moscow to EXPEL 30 US diplomats as relations deteriorate

Two diplomatic compounds in Maryland belonging to the Kremlin were shut down last year as part of the sanctions introduced by Barack Obama's administration.

The former president also announced the expulsion of 35 Russian diplomats, in a row over Russia's alleged interference in the US presidential election.

Although Moscow has repeatedly denied the claims, the sanctions have been upheld - with relations even deteriorating over repeated claims Donald Trump colluded with the state to secure victory.

Now it seems Russia has had enough, as the state has finally hit back and has announced it is considered kicking out 30 diplomats and seizing some US assets in a brutal retaliation plan.

A Russian Foreign Ministry Source claimed the move is due to the failure of the US to reach an agreement with Moscow on the compounds being returned.

US Deploys Advanced Anti-Aircraft Missiles in Baltics for First Time

Lithuania’s Defense Ministry has made a surprise announcement today that the United States has deployed an unspecified number of Patriot missile batteries into Lithuania, nominally for a military drill that is ongoing for the next two weeks.

This marks the first time such advanced US anti-aircraft weapons have been deployed into one of the Baltic states, and the deployment is expected to last beyond the current exercise, with Lithuanian officials saying it proves the US military commitment to them.

Lithuanian officials have the impression the missiles would be there at least through Russia’s own military exercises in the region in September, which are expected to be held near the NATO border regions, and which Lithuanian officials have been hyping as a “threat.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

FLASHBACK - George Soros admits to funding the Ukraine crisis

George Soros told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria over the weekend he is responsible for establishing a foundation in Ukraine that ultimately contributed to the overthrow of the country’s elected leader and the installation of a junta handpicked by the State Department.

“First on Ukraine, one of the things that many people recognized about you was that you during the revolutions of 1989 funded a lot of dissident activities, civil society groups in eastern Europe and Poland, the Czech Republic. Are you doing similar things in Ukraine?” Zakaria asked Soros.

“Well, I set up a foundation in Ukraine before Ukraine became independent of Russia. And the foundation has been functioning ever since and played an important part in events now,” Soros responded.

New Research Shows Guccifer 2.0 Files Were Copied Locally Suggesting DNC Not "Hacked By Russians"

New meta-analysis has emerged from a document published today by an independent researcher known as The Forensicator, which suggests that files eventually published by the Guccifer 2.0 persona were likely initially downloaded by a person with physical access to a computer possibly connected to the internal DNC network. The individual most likely used a USB drive to copy the information. The groundbreaking new analysis irrevocably destroys the Russian hacking narrative, and calls the actions of Crowdstrike and the DNC into question.

The document supplied to Disobedient Media via Adam Carter was authored by an individual known as The Forensicator. The full document referenced here has been published on their blog. Their analysis indicates the data was almost certainly not accessed initially by a remote hacker, much less one in Russia. If true, this analysis obliterates the Russian hacking narrative completely.

Nikki Haley’s Latest Ravings

Her ravings at the UN and in other public remarks make her appear unhinged.

She’s a diplomatic embarrassment to the office she holds, part of Washington’s lunatic fringe. She contradicts Trump and Tillerson, an unrestrained reckless loose cannon.

Her Sunday remarks on CBS News’ Face the Nation were beginning-to-end bald-faced lies combined with unacceptable threats.

Haley: “…Russia…meddle(d) in the (US) elections…Trump wanted to make sure that President Putin was aware that he was acknowledging it, that he knew it.”

Fact: No meddling occurred. Trump, Putin and Haley know it. Russia’s president clearly explained it in Hamburg and earlier.

Fact: Trump tries having things both ways - at times denying Russian hacking, other times suggesting it occurred.

Ten Problems With Anti-Russian Obsession

The U.S. mainstream media and Democratic Party politicians have built a major “scandal” out of accusing Russia of “meddling” in the U.S. election to help Donald Trump win the presidency and possibly even colluding with his campaign to do so. The charges began as “allegations” but now are routinely asserted as facts.

South Syria Ceasefire Takes Effect, Is Holding

US and Russian officials both heralded the official start of the new ceasefire in southern Syria, which they agreed upon Friday, with National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster saying the deal is an important “anti-terrorism” move, and Russian President Vladimir Putin saying it signals a more pragmatic US position on Syria.

From the US position, the goal is to prevent further defeats of rebels in southern Syria, and to prevent the Syrian government from connecting a land route to neighboring Iraq, a policy seen as particularly important to both Israel and Jordan.

With Syria having a narrow de facto link to Iraq already, however, the Russian government sees the move primarily as aimed at preventing the US from carrying out any more attacks against Syrian government forces and their allies, something the US has almost exclusively done in the new ceasefire zone.

China, Russia Alliance Deepens Against American Overstretch

This move by Trump is not uncommon. He has seemingly flip-flopped since his election campaign on working alongside or against the world’s two other superpowers, Russia and China. When it comes to Russia, Trump’s less-than-slick management of his special White House advisory team has meant that the US President has not got far with Putin.
